Pretty nice Imperial Porter. Pours dark brown with an off-white head. Nose is roast, dark chocolate, chicory, and some hints of sweetness- overripe fruit, maybe. Flavor is very good- roast, chicory, dark malt, some bitterness, and some sweetness. Medium-bodied and lingering roasty sweetness. Very nice robust porter.

Dark brown. Tan head. Very nice aroma. Taste of brown sugar. Roasted malts. This is very good!

bottle thanks to swalden28. poured a dark brown with a beige head and nice lacing. aroma of chocolate, coffee, hops, alcohol. flavor is the same as the nose. body is medium-full with high carbnation. all in all maybe on of their best offerings.

Bottle. Black with a nice brown head. Aroma and flavour of coffee, roasted malt, chocolate and hops.

Colore veramente nerissimo, denso e impenetrabile. Bella schiuma cremosa quasi tipo caffè con media persistenza. Complesso e alcoolico l’aroma,note di liquore,caffè tostato, legno bruciato.in bocca è ugualmente complesso con forse un tocco di cioccolato in aggiunta.Eccellente!

12 oz bottle served in a clear pint glass. Poured a dark black with a 1/2 inch layer of off white head. Aroma was roasted malts, coffee, and light chocolate. Taste was much the same. The beer was not overly thick, and actually, just the right body for this particular brew.

Dark brown pour with small reddish head. Coffee and chocolate in the aroma, flavor of more coffee and spices. Thick but smooth finish.

On draught at Rattle N Hum (NYC): Black pour, pillowy, tan head. Heavily sweetened malts flavor that’s light on hops. Roasted coffee, strong dark chocolate notes, moderate smokey feel and a bit of caramel. Modest and decent. Drinkability: A delicious, sweet porter that may lack a balance of roasted, toasted, and burnt smoke flavor (but I seriously can’t complain). Rebuy: Yes. #010 on 14062009, Rarated on 06112009, DG.
