A delicious porter here. Strong and rich, the brew is dark with a thick, creamy head. Very malty. Some coffee flavor. Nice and heavy. Mdgutows (42), Charlotte, North Carolina, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Mar 19, 2009 Pours black with a small brown head and bits of lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee, sweat cream, and caramel. Taste is bittersweet and very malty. Some coffee and cocoa in there. This is well balanced and tastes like creamy coffee, caramel and toffee. Alcohol comes through as it warms The body is very creamy with a medium/light carbonation. Wow this is really smooth. A very good porter and widely distributed. sirpsycho (343), Murrysville, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours a deep brown/black, really nice looking brown head that was reduced to hanging around the edges for the remainder of the time. Aroma comes right at you with a subtle blend of sweetness, maybe a touch of caramel and chocolate in the background. Flavor is a nice combo of sweet and roasted malt, chocolate and again some caramel hanging in the background. Very smooth from the start through the middle, but a little hops show through on the finish. A really nice beer. amp811 (38), Charleston, South Carolina, USA

You can sit there and roll the flavors around your tongue for a full minute or two before you take another sip. From the great artwork on the package to the last drop of beer you can squeeze out of the bottle, this is one fantastic brew. nefarious (203), Clarkston, Michigan, USA

Roated malts and that aabout it........the usual cofffee and roasted malt flavors. This is scary drinkable. I likes all though I am a tad disappointed. Nightfall (647), Athens, Greece

It was served at the perfect temperature, unlike some of the other beers at the show that were way too chilled. The chocolate, coffee, and caramel flavors bounced off of each other. It had a little bit of warmth from the alcohol but not enough that I would call it a bite. Very nice beer.
