Quan l’olores ja saps que pendràs una molt bona birra. Quan et passa pel coll saps que et sentarà molt bé. Definitivament és una gran birra.

Pillow of tan head over black with hints of ruby. High alcohol hidden very well by perfectly balanced roast and sweetness. Slight hop punch at the end rounds off this sneaky brew.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a finger of tan head on a black body.
The aroma has a nice roasted malt smell with some lemon in the background.
The taste is creamy, roasted malt, bitter bite at the end.... nicely done.
The texture is smooth with low to moderate carbonation. A great feeling.
Extremely well done.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Black with a thick foamy khaki head. Nose of herbal cocoa and a bit of roastiness. The flavor is big and roasty thick, with a big bittersweet bakers cocoa kick, and a strong herbal/grassy hoppiness underneath. Not quite bitter enough to venture into BIPA territory but there is a noticeable hoppiness here. Finishes with roast, a whisper of cocoa, earthiness, and a little resiny bitterness.

Draught at Beer Temple. Dark black with a beige head. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Moderate sweetness with a bitter finish. Has a creamy mouthfeel. Roasted malts, coffee and caramel. Ok, but I somehow expected more.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Dark black oily pour, not much of a head. A doubly bitter beer, hoppy and roasty. Quite a boozy kick. I don’t know about these Flying Dog beers, the ones I’ve had are all well made and I don’t have much negative to say, but somehow to me a bit lacking in something intangible which would get me really excited.
