redlem (1155), Illinois, USA Oct 13, 2008 IN my very clean Mikasa goblet this beer’s head went down faster than a Coke Zero on a 100 degree day. The only ass-whipping would be to the Rolling-Stone sellouts who would give out the Hunter Thompson name in favor of a road reference in what they mistakenly believe would give them a reference of Jack Kerouac. Can a reverse bite in the ass be given, if so than Flying Dog is snipping at the flea at their ass . aaaaaaaaaah (61), Warren, Michigan, USA Oct 12, 2008 A wonderful example of an Imperial Porter. Abounding aromas of roasted molasses, chocolate and coffee, finishing with butterscotch and vanilla. Smooth, sweet and easy to drink. A nice after dinner "sit and sip" beer with a soft creamy palate and a little alcohol heat at the end. OK! LET’S PARTY! Dango (26), Snekkersten, Denmark Oct 10, 2008 Excellent stuff. Strong with a nuanced complex palate. I guess I am still learning to drink the stronger porters and stouts. This one I really enjoy. Rciesla (3500), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA Oct 9, 2008 Bottle. Awesome tribute to Mr.Thompson. Pours a dark black body with a tan head. Roasted coffee, malty chocolate alcohol, a bit of oak and some hops to finish. BillKismet (1894), Seattle, Washington, USA Oct 7, 2008 Black body with chocolate head and modestly carbonated. Enjoyable aromas of dark cocoa and coffee alcohol and deep roasted barley. Deep roast coffee alcohol flavor that does not overwhelm. Oaky flavors, though I do not believe this one is oaked. Chocolate-alcohol notes. Moderately-bodied. Packs a punch! stangger (155), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 6, 2008 Kennett Square ’08. Not knowing anything about this one, I was caught totally off-guard by the hoppy blast that followed the roasted malt taste. It’s interesting but not something I’d reach for regularly. satan165 (540), River Grove, Illinois, USA Oct 5, 2008 slightly boozy, strong hint of licorice, best display of that nuance in a porter ive ever experienced. strong, but plesant, thick and inviting, well hopped besides it all and nicely bitter despite its comforting qualities. shortytallz (1), USA does not count Oct 5, 2008 Initial flavor
