Strange stout, resembles more to a dark/brown ale with hints of coffee.
For cap collectors: black Flying Dog cap.

Hoppy and roasted aroma and flavour. More like an imperial black ipa. Sweet bitter lasting finish.

Really great imperial porter, with lots of coffee, chocolate, bitterness and sweetness, and some smoke and leather. Really tasty and wellbalanced.

Draught @ Rattle & Hum, NYC. Cask. Pours cloudy very dark brown with small tan head. Dark aroma of dark chocolate, caramel and malt. Bitter and roasty onset with sweetish malty and caramel notes and a deafening chilli symphony. Bitter and spicy finish. Nice but first and foremost interesting.

Killing the keg at Khyber Pass. Opaque black pour with a large tan head. Dark flavors with a semi-creamy body. Strong coffee/chocolate/liquorice flavors as one would expect with an Imperial Stout. Hints of dark fruit deep below. Some mild smokey charcoal grill flavors as well. Great stout flavors. High ABV is well hidden. Slight thinness in the body would weaken it if billed as a Stout, but as a Porter itís fantastic!

Color - Black. Fantastic huge, beige foam, staying long, lacing glass.
Aroma: Just perfect! American hops mixed with dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, caramel, raisins. Great balance. I can smell it and smell it all the time. Taste: Sweetness from chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, dark fruits connecting with hoppy bitterness - pines, oranges, some grass, fruits. Creamy mouthfeel and long warming finish. Just amazing. Medium body with smooth, velvet texture. Powerfull beer which quickly dissapearing from glass.

On tap at Maryland Microbrewery Festival.
Pours a dark brown with a laced 2 finger tan head. Smells of chocolate, toffee, butterscotch, and citrus. A little hoppy on the front with a smooth sweet finish in the end. This beer packs a wallop coming in a 9.2 percent. Good stuff

Pours a great deep brown color with a medium tan head. Nose is hops and alcohol. Amazing and complex aromas : roasted malts, coffee, plums, raisins, caramel, plus pine thanks to the tons of hops. Creamy texture with a lively carbonation. Long and bitter finsih. Drinking a Gonzo Imperial Porter is a wild, fantastic and madcap adventure in the country of hops and indecent beer ! Love it !
