Commercial Description:
Like Hunter S. Thompson...Gonzo Imperial Porter is deep and complex. This turbo charged version of the Road Dog Porter is mysteriously dark with a rich malty body, intense roasted flavors, and a surprisingly unique hop kick. With Gonzo weighing in at 7.8% ABV, it will bite you in the ass if you don’t show it the proper respect. IBU’s: 85

Bottle. Pours black with a tan head. Roasty malt aroma. A very roasty taste, with hints of coffee and chocolate. Very Nice.

Pours a dark Black with a tan head. I had this at Taco Mac after I had already been drinking so I don’t remember exactly what it tasted like but I do remember a strong malty flavor and aroma. I drank this out of a glass I can’t remember.

Pitch black pour, nutty head. Strong malty smell and taste with hints of chocolate. It holds its strong 9.5%. The bottom of my bottle had a lot of sediments.

2008 bottle. Pours dark brown, no light gets out. Head is creamy brown, light lacing on glass. Aroma of roasted chocolate, malt, light fruit, and some booze. Taste is also very roasted with chocolate, coffee, and malt. Finishes smooth with a little warming booze. Very nice.

Bottle 0,355l. Black as coal. A large creamy head. Strong aroma of fruit, coffee and roasted malt. Soft mouthfeel. Complex flavor of fruit, chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. Well rounded. A lasting aftertaste with pleasant bitter notes. KI=2

Great beer. Almost like an imperial stout in the complexity of flavor and high ABV. I picked up a 4 pack months ago and wanted to add my rating. Need to have this one again soon.
