Commercial Description:
Like Hunter S. Thompson...Gonzo Imperial Porter is deep and complex. This turbo charged version of the Road Dog Porter is mysteriously dark with a rich malty body, intense roasted flavors, and a surprisingly unique hop kick. With Gonzo weighing in at 7.8% ABV, it will bite you in the ass if you don’t show it the proper respect. IBU’s: 85

Bottle pour. Black with a deep brown head and silky appearance. Moderately sweet up front which turns to a slightly smoky molasses back end. Slightly sticky on the palate. I enjoyed this beer a lot. Great value too for a four pack.

From a bottle poured a dark black color with a little dark brown head. Flavor of sweet malt and molasses. Nice strong finish.

Very black with very dark brown thin head. Smells sweet and hoppy, like an Imperial IPA with chocolate. Taste is strong and sweet, overpowered by peach, mango and pineapple hops. Chocolate is there, so are drying, burnt roasted coffee hops. Alcohol prevalent. Pretty good imperial porter.

Bottle. Pours black with a tan head. Roasty malt aroma. A very roasty taste, with hints of coffee and chocolate. Very Nice.

Pours a dark Black with a tan head. I had this at Taco Mac after I had already been drinking so I don’t remember exactly what it tasted like but I do remember a strong malty flavor and aroma. I drank this out of a glass I can’t remember.
