4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Outstanding head characteristics. Classic porter nose. Heavy medium body with a rich smooth texture. A chocolate onslaught with a rich underlying sweetness over a mild roast bitterness.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a deep brown color, almost black. Aroma is roasted malt soaked in alcohol. Taste is same, with the acohol content evident with each swallow. A dark burnt roasted mat flavor overpowers this beer. Bitter aftertaste that lingered on the palate.

12 oz single bottle from Applejack. Black appearance with a light brown head, lingering with sticky lacing. Roasty and malty with notes of sweet chocolate and light coffee. Medium to full body. A solid imperial porter, probably the best beer I’ve had from them.
