3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle pours dark brown almost black with a small light brown head. Aromas of sweet dark dried fruits, cherry, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet smoke, berries, roasted malts, oak, slight chocolate, with a touch of bitter hops to finish it off.

4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Great beer. Almost like an imperial stout in the complexity of flavor and high ABV. I picked up a 4 pack months ago and wanted to add my rating. Need to have this one again soon.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Black with red edges and a medium brown head. For some reason, it smells ’red’ to me (or maybe ’burgundy’). Enoumously sweet and rich coffee-malt flavour and a large bitter hop finish. Very smooth in the mouth. Brutal, yet complex. Very nice.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours an opaque black with a medium dark tan head. Smell of roasted malt, chocolate and hops. Tastes roasted Malthus chocolate with a nice hop presence. Medium mouthfeel. Leaves a slight bitter aftertaste. Decent beer.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Vinmonopolet, Norway. Pours almost pitch black, with a thick beige head. It leaves a decent lacing once the head dissipates. Aroma is not exactly overwhelming, but has hints of roasted malts and coffee as well as chocolate. The mouthfeel is pretty good, has a decent thickness to it. First impression when tasting it wasn’t the best, but maybe the bottle was too cold. This one definitely gets better as it warms up. Taste is roasted, with chocolate and licorice. And quite bitter, leaves a nice aftertaste this one. I could drink this all night, but that could make for a short night due the relatively strong abv, which isn’t too noticeable really. A very good imperial porter.

It is alright but I can’t get excited. I just don’t like porters. Sorry. Overly strong flavor, overly strong color. If you are a porter lover knock yourself out!
