COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like Hunter S. Thompson...Gonzo Imperial Porter is deep and complex. This turbo charged version of the Road Dog Porter is mysteriously dark with a rich malty body, intense roasted flavors, and a surprisingly unique hop kick. With Gonzo weighing in at 9.2% ABV, it will bite you in the ass if you don’t show it the proper respect. IBU’s: 85

Bottle. Poured a very muddled black color, rather "thick" looking pour, almost like a watery molasses. An aroma of blackened malts, sweet sugar and smoked malts, kind of "off-putting". I had to let this beer warm up a little to enjoy al the wonderful flavors. A very thick sipper. Lots of super charged chocolate malts with hints of vanilla, peat, and a light hoppiness that blends well with all the malt. A very thick bodied beer.

Bottle. Dark pour with a big mocha head. Coffee, licorixe, roast. Roasty and spicy. Strong carbonation and medium body that hides the alcohol well. Smoky bitter finish

33cl bottle shared in a snifter. Black pour with a fairly thin head. Aroma is coffee, dark chocolate and a hint of licorice. Quite dry and bitter but lots of flavours and really quite complex. Hides the ABV well and is an excellent example of an Imperial Porter.

Negra opaca, un dedo de espuma ocre cremosa. Aroma ahumado, seco. Gran cuerpo y gran textura, baja carbonatacion. Impresionante en boca. Sabor inicial afrutado, y luego complejo, frutos secos, café, regaliz, especias, tabaco...sensacional. Llena de matices. Se disfruta cada trago.

Pours a jet black with a long-lasting tan head. Aroma is alcohol and burnt caramel malts. Flavor is the same alcohol bite that’s on the nose, with some roast and burnt chocolate and caramel. Has a surprising, but nice, bitterness. Pretty good.

355 ml bottle from systembolaget. Black with fluffy tanned head. Smell is coffe, liqurice, burned malt, dried fruit, vanilla and dark sweet bread. Taste is sharp burned and roasted with coffee, and liqurice. When it warms up a little it opens up and becomes more balanced, but also more sweet. Dry with medium bitterness and medium carbonation.
