I call my Dadbra, and he says, "It’s about time." I’ve been depressed since February 05, then I tried this brew. Definitely sexy, definitely hides the alcohol, and definitely a tribute to the greatest journalist I’ve ever read. I’m sure HSTbra rests in peace knowing this beer is out there. Very darkly fruity aroma, rich body and a nicely woody hoppy aftertaste. A lovely beer to drink on a chilly night, not that english people generally even know what that is.... hallinghansen (276), Odense SV, Denmark

Can taste the hops - not bitter at all. Taste of dark malt and really picking up a chocolate, coffee flavor. finish a bit stout due to the alcohol bite, but is by no means overwhelming. Wonderfully flavorful beer and one that i will definitely have to get again. hopheaven (88), Eureka, California, USA

Smells thickly of roasted malts and hops with a hint of alcohol presence; coffee, vanilla, and chocolate notes are there. This one looks, smells, and feels like a stout. This one tastes sweet, fragrant, and rich with flavors of toffee, dark chocolate, black licorice, and a large amount of hops for that porter spice. Has a silky mouthfeel. Is very smooth and mellow while cold but as it warms the alcohol comes through alongside some spicy notes; complex and dangerously drinkable. This is my kind of beer! For some reason, it smells ’red’ to me (or maybe ’burgundy’). Enoumously sweet and rich coffee-malt flavour and a large bitter hop finish. Very smooth in the mouth. Brutal, yet complex. Very nice. tokyogoat (586), San Diego, California, USA

Smells of coffee and hops.
Taste is the shiznit. Not usually a fsn of porters, but this one is exceptional. Not too many flavors going on,. strong coffee from, roasted malt backing, and just a perfect dark chocolate aftertaste.
