3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Creamy light tan head that is 1 1/2 fingers in depth. Beer is pitch black in color. Aroma is roasted dark malts with smoky notes and some coffee. The texture is smooth. The taste is dark roasted malts, burnt coffee, bittersweet chocolate with subtle hints of vanilla. There is a lingering coffee bitterness in the back end of this beer.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Outstanding head characteristics. Classic porter nose. Heavy medium body with a rich smooth texture. A chocolate onslaught with a rich underlying sweetness over a mild roast bitterness.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a deep brown color, almost black. Aroma is roasted malt soaked in alcohol. Taste is same, with the acohol content evident with each swallow. A dark burnt roasted mat flavor overpowers this beer. Bitter aftertaste that lingered on the palate.

Bottle, 33cl. Very dark brown, hazy, brown foam. Aroma: chocolate, coffee, roast, earthy, quite complex, strikes just after opening. Taste: Chocolate and coffee, light sweetness, medium bitterness; full body, creamy, soft carbonation, long finish, warming, Complex and intense, worth the price, canít wait to check barrel aged version! 12 oz bottle. Appearance is inky black. Aroma is citrus hops, dark malt and chocolate. Taste is chocolatey, woodsy, very dark malts. Palate is pretty light not syrupy. An interesting hybrid of IPA and Porter, with the qualities of each. Good.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz single bottle from Applejack. Black appearance with a light brown head, lingering with sticky lacing. Roasty and malty with notes of sweet chocolate and light coffee. Medium to full body. A solid imperial porter, probably the best beer Iíve had from them.
