RSRIZZO (1346), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Sep 24, 2007 Had this beer on 5/13/2004. Aroma is a rich sweet malty scent. Color is a deep clear gold with good carbonation and a thin head. Taste is mildly malty. Starting with medium body it goes down with smooth feel and a malty flavor coming on. Finish comes in with a mild malt flavor and a smooth hop bitterness, this is backed by a very light spiciness. It seems to hit what they wanted it to be. This is a spring beer, but they call it an anti-spring and what better way to brew this then a light Bock. It’s a refreshing, bold and smooth beer that has the feel of spring. Headbanger (1574), Aurora, Illinois, USA Sep 23, 2007 12oz bottle-A golden body with a small white head and an aroma of malt, hops, and fruity pepples. Taste of malt, hops, sweetness, and a dry bitter finish. Not a bad beer but just not my style. Petrucci914 (574), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Sep 1, 2007 Pours a crisp golden color. (Rating #1185) patrick767 (2016), fort wayne, Indiana, USA Aug 20, 2007 bottle - Pours clear golden with a one finger, lingering head. The aroma is malts and some light citrus and yeast notes. The flavor is quite sweet as one would expect from a bock. I’m tasting a touch of alcohol. It’s a little watery and the hops show up just a bit in the finish. Not bad at all, but there are better bocks to be had.
edit: oops, that was rating #900 and I wasn’t even paying attention. iowaherkeye (1832), Bakersfield, California, USA Aug 15, 2007 12oz bottle. I do get some light sulfur upon opening the bottle. Clear amber orange with a 1/2 finger white head. The aroma has sweet malts and wet paper up front, with some light grass and caramel coming up next. There is also some light fruit and toast if I dig a little deeper. Flavor is a fair amount sweeter than I thought it would be, as well as the added nuttiness. Semidry finish with just a hint of hop bitterness. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Better than I’d expected. Sammy (3934), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 19, 2007 yellow with creamy head, that leaves some lace on the rapid summer drink down. Smooth, light but not watery mouthfeel. An understated slightly aggressive bitterness, shy of acidic.
