-Aroma: Nice kick of hops with a slight hint of toasted malt
-Appearance: Soft copper
-Flavor: Simple yet pleasantly refreshing
-Palate: Nice spiciness on the palate due to the hop residue
-Overall: Okay but definitely not Flying Dog’s best.

Aroma of long grass, straw and alcohol. A bit of alcohol in the flavour. Thick body almost syrupy. Has a chewy dry grass flavour. Reminds me of some Oktoberfests with a juicier flavour. Has an interesting juice pocket aftertaste effect. sloth (1689), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA

Medium body sorta creamy. Sweet malt and grainy flavors. Finish is medium sweet. A fair interpretation of a Maibock. BBB63 (4283), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 13, 2004 Bottle: Golden hue with small but lasting head and very good lace. The aroma has notes of lmeongrass, honeycomb, caramelized malts, floral hops, and dusty yeast esters. The taste starts crisp and mildly bitter with a good dose of malt background. Some citrus and a noticebale biscuity presence. The finish has lingering bitterness. The feel is crisp and lively initially but then turn more metallic and chalky as you drink it. A good offering and worthy of a try. tiggmtl (4312), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Lightly oily-hazy deep golden body topped by a decent white head that recedes to a large bubbled but lasting partial cover and ring with some lace. Nutty and toasty malts with grassy and floral hops . Fresh tasting with fruity esters that evoke peaches and pears. Bitterness lingers but some graininess is notable - in the aftertaste especially. Medium body with soft bubbled carbonation. Bottle sampled with Oakes in June 2007. ontario102 (794), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 5, 2004 This one is abundantly carbonated, and has a bready, grainy, heavy malt aroma with some definite flowers and grass thrown in; the flavor is alcoholic and malty up front, with a quick citric tart rear end; the palate is prickly, creamy, and acidic. Not real complex or smooth; I’d pass on this one next time most likely
