COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Big malty flavors, including licorice and chocolate, are balanced with a moderate hop profile. Brewed with copious amounts of prized malts and flaked oats, the Barley Wine is so strong that it has to be aged for several months before we can bottle it. Like a fine wine, it will continue to improve with age up to 2 years after bottling (If kept cool).

Bottled. Barely translucent black coloring with very little head or carbonation. As far as barley wines go I didn’t really like this, because it was SO malty. I like a little more hop in my BW’s, like Bigfoot. It was okay but nothing to throw a parade over.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass brown slightly amber with a tan head that didn’t hang very long. Aroma is sweet-strong like golden raisins a touch of booze. Flavor is candied brown sugar with a finish of definite hops. Rich not too thick. A better than average American Barley wine.

Extremely clear pour, no lacing, little head. Sweet caramel aroma. Smooth on the palate but very overpowering alcohol taste. Perhaps too strong - distracts from the nice flavors below

I had this at Global Brew. Pours reddish brown with thin tan head. Taste sweet, Carmel, boozy. I thought this was ok. I could drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from De Molen. Poured a clear dark amber with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is sweet sticky toffee malt caramel yeast. The flavour is big sweet with a rich oily boozy alcohol malt liqourice palate. Full bodied with average carbonation. A real alcoholic sweetie.
