Pours a nice darker yellow colour with some head but it dissipates quickly. Aroma is malty with some floral hops and hints of caramel. Taste is on the sweeter side but after a while it quickly lacks carbonation. Finishes of with hints of hops but fades quickly.

Draft at the brewery. I am not a big hef fan and donít think this beer really fits the style. It tasted just like a good hef, but the alcohol was a little bit much for me. Canít argue with trying to do this style, just didnít do it for me.

Draught at TJís: Aroma of wheat, spices, banana, light clove, and coriander. Poured amber/gold in color with a small, white head that lasted throughout. Cloudy. Slightly sparkling. Flavor is medium sweet. Tastes of wheat, bubblegum, banana, spices, light clove, and some hops. Medium body. Smooth, slick, then dry texture. Average carbonation. Wheat, bubblegum, clove, banana finish. 7.3%ABV is completely hidden throughout.

On tap at Churchkey. Served in a snifter. Pours a hazy light golden-yellow color with a nice white head and a thin cap throughout. The nose carries some banana and bubble gum with a moderate amount of clove there as well. Touch of booze. Flavor has a nice yeasty presence and a bit of alcohol. Medium body. Overall, slightly boozy and has some hefeweizen yeast. I really, really donít see the point in making this beer.

Draft. Golden, clear, light white head. Moderate aroma of a hefe. Powerful complex taste, banana and yeast. But not sweet. Very different but good.

Pours cloudy light yellow with some white head. Aromas are clove and banana. Taste is clove, banana, and some other spices. ABV is not noted, as this is very smooth and sessionable. The palate is lighter and the finish is spicy. Overall, a nice brew that will be great as spring approaches.

From my Junto Society growler: Pours a hazy golden with a one finger white head. Pretty good retention and just a bit of lacing in the glass. Very aromatic! Lots of floral and banana notes. Wheaty, yeasty and fruity. Taste is similar to the aroma. Lots of floral and banana notes. Bubblegum. Wheaty and yeasty. A bit on the sweet side but not over the top. Medium bodied. Nice level of carbonation. Sweet and dry with some hop bitterness showing up in the finish. I also like that the alcohol wasnít overwhelming. Iíd say Flying Dog did a pretty good job with the first beer in their new small batch series.
