4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On the Eighth Day of Christmas the beer Gods gave to me... one strong hoppy brew. Pours a orange amber color with a white foam head. Aroma of grapefruit, earthiness and some caramel underneath. Has a sweet citrus taste with a nice earthy hop hit and a sticky finish. Very nice.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at blind tiger with Andrew, Brendan and Maggi. Maggi is clearing out this bar quicker than usual with his loud mouth. Pours a lightly amber golden body with white lacing. Aroma is fresh bitter pine and grapefruit. Mouthfeel is nice, fresh with notes of bitter citrus and light pine. Light soapiness.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
The appearance is clear with an orangish hue and little head. The aroma is a combination of citrus, caramel and spice. There miht be some subtle floral and pine notes as well. Taste is a little sweet at first but then turns bitter with a lingering finish. The body is medium and a little chewy. You can tell the alcohol is there but it is under control. I preferred the Flying Dog Chinook Single Hop but this is still good stuff.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle. Poured a clear golden color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of floral hops, pine, and citrus. Tastes of floral hops, citrus, toasted caramel, and fruity. Nice and hoppy with the alcohol content overall well hidden.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Lovely brew. Thin white head and some skimpy, lasting lace. Bright, copper hued ale. Lovely, spicy, piney, citrusy, fruity and resiny nose. Body is tame for the abv. but really mouthwatering and juicy. Lotsa hops, earthy and fruity, fairly bodacious with a mild malt backing, just the ways i like,m! Groovily fruity, tropical finish with a lesser than expected bite but still very nice indeed. Bottle from statelineliquors.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Capone’s. Pours clear dark straw with 1-finger frothy off-white head. Nose is huge piney Centennial hops, caramel malt. Tastes resiny, tannic, with overall astringency, caramel malt, heavy IBUs, and a smooth and dense mouthfeel.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A good hoppy beer, recent purchase from Capone’s. Very orange citrus, up front hops, yet not a palate eraser. The malt adds to the taste. Good drinkability, above average mouthfeel. Orange coloured body. Nice hop aroma.

Thanks for Phil, got this a day after bottling. FRESH! I don’t know that I’ve had anything this piney in my life accept for when I got sap stuck on my fingers as a kid. Very bitter and palate wrecking up front. Palate manages to stay thin and not to sweet which at 10% is a miracle. Finish is bitter and quick. A bruiser, but a well executed one.

UPDATED: NOV 7, 2012 Agree with below. Tasted again tonight at the brewery. The nose on this one is off the chain. read the rest from below. Love this beer.
Completely from memory. Got a growler of this stuff directly from the brewery back when they were still allowed to fill them (we gotta work on getting that changed!) This was one of my favorites in the single hop IIPA series. Full of hop goodness and nicely balanced. As I remember I didn’t think the high alcohol content really came through and it was an easy drink.
