CaptainCougar (7129) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - SEP 22, 2012
12oz bottle: Pours a clear bright orange with a spotty-lacing white head. Has a fresh resinous hoppy nose with some sweet toasty caramel maltiness. Starts with more sweet light caramel maltiness quickly giving way to strong resinous bitterness before a drier lingering bittersweet finish. Lots of juicy hop flavor and bitter balance throughout. True to style and fairly drinkable.

5000 (6180) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - DEC 18, 2012
Bottle:   Pale amber, faint haze, moderate frothy white head, fairly clingy lacing.   Somewhat of a candied citrus peel nose, otherwise a bit pithy.   Boozy up front, pithy, some alcohol infused candied citrus peel as well.   This is a salivator!   Makes yer mouth water after each sip.   Bitter, and certianly a little biting too.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   A bit astringent on the finish.   Its a rough IIPA thats for sure, but not out of the realm of enjoyable.
