4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Keg at North Bar, Leeds. Pours a classic Orange-gold, fingers of creamy head. Aroma is brilliant and complex: big passionfruit and grapefruit hit, some breadiness, lots of cereals, pineapple juice, apple juice and, bizarrely, pink and white almond nougat. Stunning nose, one of the most complex Iíve had in quite a while. Taste is great, too - sharp grapefruit, breadiness, passionfruit, a little sherbet. Basically, just a massive bag of titting hops. Lovely rye-ish spiciness, too. Itís like, knowing they were doing a single hop beer, they decided to go to town on the malt bill to complement it as well as possible: as horrifyingly pretentious as it sounds, you can taste the effort. Better but juicy and flavour finish, medium-full body. This is seriously good.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at The Tap
Pours clear neon orange with a nice off-white foam cap and good retention. Lacing was excellent. Could not see through the glass after it was gone.
Smells like a tropical delight. I love Galaxy hops. Lots of papaya, mango, guava and pink grapefruit. A touch of malt bakbone, but the hops shine.
Nice initial flavor burst of lush tropical fruits. The perfect amount of malt creates a kind of candied fruit flavor of guava, mango and papaya. Finishes with more of a grapefruit presence and fairly dry and bitter. Grapefruit lingers on the back of the tongue.
Medium bodied with good carbonation. Very juicy and finishes with a nice candied bitterness. Alcohol is hidden well. Would not have guessed this ABV.
Nice effort to showcase one of the best hops around. Small malt bill and let the hops do their thing.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled on Draft at Cap Ale Innsbrook for the Flying Dog Tap takeover. Semi hazy dirty straw pour with massive pillowy light khaki head. I got the very last dregs from the keg so I think that negatively impacted my pour. Aroma was VERY grainy and starchy and extremely reminiscent of homebrew mash. But the flavor did have significant tropical/citrus fruitiness to it. A little thin, and not quite the galaxy punch I expected. I will certainly rerate if given another opportunity.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Standings. Pours brilliant golden amber with thick white head. Aroma is huge juicy, fruity hops. The taste is tropical fruits, sweet oranges, grapefruit, sweet malt and caramel in the forefront, followed by a slight hop bitterness. Bright fruity hop finish. The ABV is quite high and was well hidden when I first started drinking this beer but slowly came through as I continued to drink and the beer warmed.

32oz fresh growler, from DEPs. Shared with Alicia. Mostly hazy vibrant orange color. Thin white head. Little lace. Bigger body. Nice, smooth, lighter crisp carbonation. Lightly dry in the finish. Wow, I really dig the Galaxy hop. Very big hop flavor. Resin, grapefruit, light pine... Some tropical fruit... Some pineapple. Big bitter taste, nothing astringent, though. A good, huge hoppy bitterness. Minimal sweet. Minimal caramel malt profile to this, more just a huge, assertive hop assault, that lasts minutes into the aftertaste. Love that I can continue to taste the hoppiness long after the swallow. Pretty awesome super assertive Galaxy showcase.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pizzeria Paradiso, Alexandria tap ($6): Pours a light amber with a white head. Aroma is peach and pineapple, and I guess a bit of citrus. Taste is fruity as all hell. This ainít that bitter, because this hop is a fruity mane. Alcohol is sufficiently well covered. Good beer.

Growler. Clear dark orange pour, plenty of nice frothy carbonation and an aroma juicy orangy hops. Flavor is also nice juicy citrusy hops, plenty of malt which balanced out the bitterness nicely and finished sweet and almost creamy. Pretty damn nice at any price.
