Bottle. Pours gold and orange with ribbons of dark orange sediment spiraling around, with a 3-finger fluffy meringue-like beige head. Aromas of sweet wheat and Belgian yeast; some musty, dusty notes, along with bread mold, are evident, as well as mild citrus peel. The flavor is mild bitter grass and wheat at first, with Belgian yeast. This trends to bitter grapefruit rind and grassy hops. Light citrus and spices are present throughout. Medium to high carbonation and body, quite drinkable, with a dry finish. Tasty. [1068]

12oz bottle. Pours hazy orange/gold with big white head and plenty of lacing. Aroma is of grapefruit, lemon and orange zest, complex notes from the funky saison yeast. Taste is a decent balance of funky barnyard notes (nothing too out-there though), grapefruit, and herb notes. Nice lasting citrus and funky bitterness in the aftertaste. A really tasty concoction, always wanted to try a Belgian-style saison with big American hops - lives up to expectations.

Draft… Clear yellow ale with a small, foamy, white head. Great retention. The nose offers musky hops, fruity esters and citrusy funk. Medium-bodied and lightly creamy with modest carbonation. The flavor leans just a hair toward the bitter side, but is quite nicely balanced for the style. Lingering banana and pear finish.

Draft. Poured a hazy yellow color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate citrushop, herbs and yeast aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. I would recommend this to a friend.
