Slightly hazy golden colour, white head. Funky aroma, cheese, hops, citrus, malts, tropical fruits and apple. Bitter hop flavour, citrus, tropical fruits. Quite full body, finish honey, bitter hops, tropical fruits and citrus.
Nice beer, well balanced.

Hazy yellow color with a thin white head. Nose of spice and yeast. I do not like the fad of taking an IPA and imposing some other style over it. Sour orange and too old grapefruit rind with a very soapy flavor over it all. I get a sense of the delicate balance that somebody thinks is going on here, but I just don’t like this. The saison spice doesn’t work well for me with all the hops. Just odd.

Feb 2013 - cold bottle. I’m not going to lie - I bought it purely based on the way the bottle looked. Sizeable, enduring head. Smells sweet and rounded like a wheat beer. Tastes like a below average wheat beer, very little bitterness, mixed citrus, tiny bit of caramel. Overall, there are some OK qualities but it’s underwhelming and certainly not an IPA. Drinkable though.

Bottle. Smellt a bit like soap, and floral. Great appearance. Amber orange color, clear and sparkling with a white rocky head. It tasted medium bitterness and a little bit sweetness. The palate was not that good. a bit boring. sticky dry texture, light body with an alcoholic, bitter finish.

This is a very complex beer. Lots of different flavors coming at you. And it works. Pours a nice dark amber. SCent of the saison yeast and spice. Flavors of spice, the saison yeast, and hops. I very much enjoy the spicyness of this beer. It compliments the other flavors. Tickles your tongue in all the right ways

Uploading old ratings that were missing comments. Pretty interesting. Nice and hoppy but with a touch of funk and a dry finish. Worth trying. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz. bottle with a very active pour to my 1/2 pint, mini-Czech-pils glass, a hazed, light gold/straw color, and very persistent, meringue-like, billowy, white head foam, and lasting cling to the ribbons & spots of lacing. The aroma started with a light hint of yeasty funk, then citrus as grapefruit & orange, tropical fruit sweetness, floral hints, spice as coriander, followed by some tartness & acidity. The flavor was a combination of the aroma notes & mild malt that was overwhelmed by strong, very lingering, dry, earthy, & rind-like hop bitterness, made even more intense by very lively carbonation with seltzery effervescence & taste. Also, only light bodied. Big IPA character, with a much lesser farmhouse nature. Appreciated the hop forwardness, but would’ve liked a bit more malt support.
