The aroma is all saison yeast, delightful. Clear golden color with a white head that thinned to a ring. Nice saison yeasty taste upfront with bitter hops kicking in before another quick shot of saison yeast ending dry and bitter, gimme more! Medium bodied and very easy to drink as the abv only comes into play after 3 or more. Fantastic beer, get it while itís fresh.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: FEB 6, 2013 0,355ml bottle from CsakajůsŲr, Budapest. Opalescent, pale golden color with medium white head. Very special hoppy aroma, fuity odor because of the yeast. The hops flavour is citrus, herbal and grassy. Strong bitter taste. Medium body with creamy texture and average carbonation. Long, dry, herbal hoppy finish. Itís a very special delicious one. Itís different from the classic American IPAs. The difference makes it special. Interesing IPA, the yeast gives it a special feeling.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
12 ounce bottle from American Beer Dist. Hazy golden orange with white head and lace. Hay and lemon pixie stix aroma. Very mild fruity pineapple sweetness with very dry mildly tart citrus finish and slightly lingering clean citrus finish. Light refreshing body. Might even be as delicious, though less complex than, Rayon Vert. An excellent beer for an excellent beer bar (with the only non-smoking room in Europe the few times I was there last decade.)

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours slighly hazy orange-tinted golden with a big-bubbled white head. Nose is clementines, wild yeast, musk, and some funky hay. Taste is a bit soapy and metallic at first but gets mild as the head dissipates. A bit spicy.

4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Cask flight at Ginger Many NYC. Honey colored pour, very srill with no head. Wildly heavy juniper and fresh peppermint oil aroma. Taste is similar but with limon cello, orange zest, and fresh spruce. The lemongrass flavor in this beer makes me think of exotic spices in Thai food and coconut curry dishes. This beer is amazing; I canít get over how much flavor is packed into this little glass. Slippery mouthfeel with anise lingering long on the palate. This is not a beer for everyone but itís got WOW factor for sure.

Bottle. Pours hazy canary with 3-finger white head that laces well. Nose is sour mashy malt, spicy candi sugary yeast, citric florals, Tastes complex, dry, funky candi sugary yeasty, spicy, fruity, and floral. There is a huge cmplexity in flavor and nose here. Only beef is a minor bit of cloying flavors late, but this one is great.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Hazy gold appearance with a small white head and lots of lacing. Spicy aroma with a hint of citrus in the background. Tasted rye bread, spices, pepper, some yeastiness and herbal hops. Well hidden malt backbone. Medium bodied, nicely carbonated mouthfeel. The more the aftertaste lingers, the more interesting it gets.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A: Pours a golden amber color with less clarity than one would expect from an IPA - itís more akin to a Belgian tripel than anything. The head is a one finger off white color with mediocre retention/lacing.
S: Very strong Belgian notes come through; coriander, clove, candied sugar, and a touch of funk. As an IPA though, I expect a little more in the way of grapefruit/pine notes, but other than that, I really like how it smells.
T: Notes of bitter grapefruit from the dry hopping are prevalent at first, but after the bitter opening, the Belgian characteristics pull through, with hints of funk, spice, and candied sugar. The finish sees a return of the hoppy notes from the opening, subtly blended with the saison characteristics. Crisp, refreshing, and nicely balanced - not as clinically clean and bitter as Raging Bitch, but pretty much where it needs to be.
M: Given its saison roots, itís very well carbonated and finishes quite dry - a sensation that works well with its hop profile, without getting overly chalky and astringent. Medium bodied and incredibly easy drinking.
O: Color me impressed. It isnít perfect, but itís a solid hybrid of a saison and IPA, and is better balanced than Raging Bitch, too. Recommended.
