UPDATED: SEP 25, 2011 What a surprise, tasted on tap, De Wildeman, Amsterdam...
Hazy golden one with a fine creamy head. Intensive aroma of sourish yeast, coriander, citrusses. Easy body with a good, smooth mouthfeel, spicies like coriander, herbal hops. Mixation of a saison, an ipa and a real ale. Very drinkable, rich in tastes. Fine!

Tap@WildemanAmsterdam. Nice aroma, light hoppy, malty. Yellow, white head, good lace. Sweet, light fruity, something there that I don’t like, almost like butter, light bitterness. Drinkable but I’d expect more hops from an IPA.

Had this one @ In De Wildeman from tap. Golden, amber colored brew. Hoppy, peachy, citrus, some malts, barnyard, some sourness, very nice combo of an IPA and saison.

Tap, CK. Fluffy white head; hazy bright marigold. Sweet light grapes, light grapefruit, some grassiness and earthy notes as well in the aroma. Floral, earthy, yeasty, and a nice deal of bitterness. Dry, fluffy soft body. Nice drinking.

(Draught at In de Wildeman, Amsterdam, 15 July 2011) Golden colour with frothy, off-white head. Spicy, malty nose with notes of dried apricots, citrus and hints of spicy yeast. Fruity, spicy taste with tropical fruit, papaya, citrus, apricots, hints of wild yeast and a generous spicy/earthy bitterness in the finish. Slightly more than medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Very nice beer.

Draught@De Wildeman, Amsterdam. Amber looks with a slight haze and a healthily plump white head. Plenty of fresh hoppage and juicy fruit in the nose. Flavour was loaded with superb citrus and hops aplenty, tidily balanced by some sweet malt. A little hit of tartness gave way to a dry lingering bitter finish. Huuge drinkability. A cracking beer that is a fitting tribute to a great bar.

@ De Wildeman. The aroma has a lot of citric hops, some barnyard, yeast. Hazy, golden coloured beer with a white, lasting head. The taste is bitter, has citric hops, some pine. Bit yeasty as well. Medium bodied. Very drinkeable. Good brew,

I’ve wrote about this beer on a blog already. This is just fabulous. I was lucky to drink it from cask, keg and bottle. All three just great, but I prefer the bottle over the cask, and the cask over the keg (duh). A nice crispy almost acidly hop taste, balanced out with the rye malt and the lovely just lovely fruity saison yeast makes this beer the best IPA (may I call it an IPA please?) I’ve had in my lifetime. It is that yeast that makes the main difference between cask, keg and bottle. Why are you still reading? Go out and get that beer!
