Bottle - Cloudy light golden beer with a very strong white head. The aroma is quite sour, floral and bitter, and the flavour is very bitter and sour with a large amount of hoppy’ness and grassy’ness. Lot of carbon within, could be fuller bodied. Overall a reasonable sour and bitter beer but was expecting a bit more. Unusual US beer.

Cloudy yellow IPA, foamy, the Saison yeast gives it an odd but interesting "rustic" flavor. The aroma was good and citrus. The flavor was slightly malty and balanced. Roasted, wild, amber style...

graphiquement très beau .... Un peu trop "cidrée" pour moi en résumé ... cette petite acidité traînante que je n’affectionne pas trop dans les bières ... ça reste pour autant délicat ici, d’où une bonne note au final

Unique aroma and flavor profile. Cloudy dark Amber color. Leans bit sweet. Flying Dog labels are always interesting, but this art is especially wild(e)!

from Amstein - murky dark orange beer with a poor foam left; aroma of cardamom, bitter oranges and grapefruit; full-bodied, assertive and juicy palate; bitter and sourish; quite dry and long fruity hoppy finish with lingering spicy tones

Bottle in the Town Street Tavern. Deep golden with some thin white froth. Hoppy apricot notes with citrus. Some good malty notes plus yeast in the background. Tasty stuff.

Very yeasty. So much so (&without much in the way of wilder qualities) I’d have thought this a belgian iPa before Saison. That being said, it’s one of the better beers I’ve had from them. Dry, fruity, spicy. Adequately hoppy and just a touch of farmhouse Bretty funk. Finishes nice."

Transfer from BA review on 3-20-13- Served on tap in a pint glass Appearance – Served a golden yellow colored brew with a big thick and billowy white head. The head fades slowly over time to give a nice level of lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma is heaviest of a hay like and slightly funky aroma. Mixed with these are some smells of a bready malt as well as a herbal and citrus grapefruit hop aroma mixed with some sweeter tangerine and spice notes of clove and coriander as well. Taste – The taste begins with a bready flavor mixed with a slightly citrus sweet flavor of tangerine and some caramel. As the flavor advances some flavors of yeast and spice flavors of clove as well as some orange and grapefruit citrus come to the tongue. Toward the end of the taste, the flavor takes on some stronger flavors of a haylike and grassy taste as well as a more funky like flavor of the “farmhouse” variety. The flavors at the end, all combine to leave a nicely hopped, and rather funked and slightly bitter malty flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the medium side in terms of its creaminess and thickness with a carbonation level that is on the slightly above average side. The thickness was nice for the more grassy, hay, and yeasty characteristics of the beer while not being too light for the malt backbone and the abv for the brew. The carbonation was quite nice for the funky flavors as well and made for a rather nice drinker overall. Overall – A rather pleasant drinking Farmhouse IPA. It had a nice blend of the funk and hop to make for a good and tasty drinking brew.
