Iíve wrote about this beer on a blog already. This is just fabulous. I was lucky to drink it from cask, keg and bottle. All three just great, but I prefer the bottle over the cask, and the cask over the keg (duh). A nice crispy almost acidly hop taste, balanced out with the rye malt and the lovely just lovely fruity saison yeast makes this beer the best IPA (may I call it an IPA please?) Iíve had in my lifetime. It is that yeast that makes the main difference between cask, keg and bottle. Why are you still reading? Go out and get that beer!

smells really funky like a good farmhouse ale should, spices galore! Looks great too, big white uneven bubbled head dissipating slowly and unevenly. Oh man this stuff is wild! Carbonation keeps things moving along nicely. Honey, coriander, white pepper. This stuff is delicious! I have just a few in Itís league to compare it to, and Itís more than holding Itís own! Donít miss this stuff.

Creamy finish, almost buttery. This isnít usually a good thing, but in this farmhouse ale, absolutely impressive. This is easily the best beer Iíve had from Flying Dog brewery.

Cask flight at Ginger Many NYC. Honey colored pour, very srill with no head. Wildly heavy juniper and fresh peppermint oil aroma. Taste is similar but with limon cello, orange zest, and fresh spruce. The lemongrass flavor in this beer makes me think of exotic spices in Thai food and coconut curry dishes. This beer is amazing; I canít get over how much flavor is packed into this little glass. Slippery mouthfeel with anise lingering long on the palate. This is not a beer for everyone but itís got WOW factor for sure.

Wow, this beer is awesome. The citra hops mixed with the Saison yeast blends the grapefruit from the hops with the funk from the Saison yeast so well. Nice job on this one!

Cloudy gold color with a slight frothy head and mildly yeasty aroma. I liked the fruity taste and slight hop finish. I canít stand overly bitter beers and am glad this is more sweet than bitter.

12 ounce bottle from American Beer Dist. Hazy golden orange with white head and lace. Hay and lemon pixie stix aroma. Very mild fruity pineapple sweetness with very dry mildly tart citrus finish and slightly lingering clean citrus finish. Light refreshing body. Might even be as delicious, though less complex than, Rayon Vert. An excellent beer for an excellent beer bar (with the only non-smoking room in Europe the few times I was there last decade.)

The aroma is all saison yeast, delightful. Clear golden color with a white head that thinned to a ring. Nice saison yeasty taste upfront with bitter hops kicking in before another quick shot of saison yeast ending dry and bitter, gimme more! Medium bodied and very easy to drink as the abv only comes into play after 3 or more. Fantastic beer, get it while itís fresh.

A great combination of hop and yeast aroma and taste. A golden color with a silky white head that has great lacing.
