1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle@Spiesys. Lightly tangy, lightly clovey, pretty light all in all. Nothing palate, lightly lemony, but very thin and unexciting.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle #2 at Spiesy’s. Sweet orange and wheat aroma, underpinned by something vaguely smoky that I couldn’t quite place until Silk suggested the hot dog angle. Indeed it reminded me of a Westlers hamburger stand, which you probably won’t be familiar with unless you have been to an English soccer match (replete, as Silk suggests, with fried onions). After that aroma, which can be best described as interesting, it all fell away once I started actually drinking. Anaemic, washed out flavours, with just the vaguest hint of citrus. No pizzazz whatsoever. All the Flying Dog beers we tried had a very distinctive and pungent aroma, but far less flavour than expected, even though I didn’t think they were as terrible as Silk. Overall, not great.

2.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle @ Spiesy’s gaff. The Flying Dog beers we had were all in attractive bottles, had decent aromas, but were really quite foul tasting. This one smelled like a veggie hot dog, complete with greasy fried onions and the doughy bread. I quite liked the smokey aroma, especially when the spicy wheat also came through, but the vague wishy washy flavours were quite nasty.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Hazy orange, no head really. Malt aromas with a hint of wheat and citrus. Lots of citrus in the flavor. The hops are floral. Malts are light and the wheat is as well. Fairly smooth with a bite of bitter hops at the end.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Good hefeweizen. Typical cloudy golden color with a medium white head. Suprising citrus aroma more than anything else. A good citrus and malty taste. Not bad.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
My favorite of the Flying Dog line. A nice mild ale with an apparent coriander citrus taste. Tastes more like a whitbier in my opinion. Pretty tasty, reminded me alot of Hoegaarden, except lacking a bit.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap @ Flying Saucer - Reminded me a lot of a Bells Oberon, very murky and slightly hoppy, but a bit too much citrus and other fruit flavors for my likes. Pretty flat also.
