COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed in the centuries old tradition of German beers, our brewers use more wheat and proprietary yeast to give it the unmistakable character of a flavorful, authentic Hefeweizen. The High proportion of wheat gives In Heat its smooth, full-mouth feel and our special yeast gives it its unique fruity and spicy aroma.

Bottle, no best before date. Not a bad hefe, charcteristic flavors and body. Decent ice cold as a summer cooler. The 5.9% is not apparent, taste is mild spicy wheat, cloves. A bit thin and one dimensional but not defective.

This was an interesting wheat beer. Not too cloudy but the flavor was pretty good. I would have it again.

Poured a cloudy golden color, with a small head that didn't last too long. Wheat aroma with a watery, slightly fruity taste.

Strong acidic-like aroma of lemons and lemon-cleaner. Medium bodied. Tastes a little sour, with a big abrasive metal flavor up front mixed with the usual lemon and citrus.

Hazy, dark yellow. A vigorous and abusive pour produced no head whatsoever. Suspended particles spanning a range of sizes including one very large and mysterious satellite that I dodged for 20 minutes. Aroma of citrus, musty yeast, and bile. Sweet flavor of fruit and yeasty bread. Fizzy, metallic mouthfeel. I thought that this was yet another f--ked up American Wheat and then I see it listed as a German which makes me think that this beer sucks even worse.

The head was small and white when it was poured and it contained fine sized bubbles. The head quickly dissipated. The body was murky-hazy and had a lot of carbonation. The hue was medium yellow and the nose was the traditional banana and clove. There was no lacing with this beer. This beer lacked flavor and the mouthfeel was tingly on my tongue, thin and smooth. This is not a good example of what a good German Wheat beer should taste like. This was a very dissapointing experience as German Wheat beers are one of my all-time favorite styles of beer.

Not as harsh as a german wheat in that it was easier on the palate, not saturating. Cloves and banana in the nose. cloudly color with a banana-ish spice body and finish. Like i said...classic german wheat, just (i dont want to say toned down) a far more palatable experience to a novice. enjoyable.

UPDATED: MAY 9, 2010 Hazy, bright amber appearance with an average size white head and decent lacing. Subdued, wheaty aroma with spicy accents. Some hefe characteristics in the taste, but with less emphasis on banana/bubblegum and more on citrus and spice. Medium bodied mouthfeel with a lot of carbonation. Tart, short lived finish.

Disappointing head on pour, then gone. Had a hard time getting the yeast out of the bottle, so it may not have been stored well. Has some of the right yeast signature flavors and aroma to a lesser degree, but not enough wheat and complex flavors.

Slightly hazed golden liquid with a off white head that is gone betore the first quaff. Full frontal wheat aromas, with faint undertones of bananas and cloves. Light, thin and spritzy in feel. I had this a few years ago and did not think much of it. Much better than I remember. Some nice weiss qualities in this one. Sweet wheat tickled by bananas and cloves. Lacks depth but quenching and balanced. Interesting citric and wheat sweetness flavors blend well with chalky yeast in the finish.
