Commercial Description:
Brewed in the centuries old tradition of German beers, our brewers use more wheat and proprietary yeast to give it the unmistakable character of a flavorful, authentic Hefeweizen. The High proportion of wheat gives In Heat its smooth, full-mouth feel and our special yeast gives it its unique fruity and spicy aroma.

Bottle. Tasted at Ulkløbben. Cloudy with white little head. Very tripple like, but sweet and not strong. A little to light aftertaste, but very creamy, and lots of banana, and fruit.

Cloudy golden colored beer below a thin white head that dissipated quickly, bubbles coming up from the beer. Sour citrus aroma, orange, banana and wheat are dominate. They dominate the flavor as well. Starts orange but finished sweet banana. Somewhat frothy and carbonated, almost overly sweet finish than hangs in the mouth.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy gold with a bit of orange. Tall, foamy, white head. The head drops quickly. The first smell I get reminds me of varnish. Some citrus, notably orange, and some wheat in the nose. Initial taste is bacon and solvent. Virtually no carbonation. This beer is dreadful! I took three sips and then had to pour it down the drain. Based on other ratings I hope this is a bad bottle. I will plan to retaste in the future.

Bottle. Pours an odd, dingy pale orange/gold with a thin but dense head. Aromas are of pepper and cloves with a little bit of landfill and honey. Flavor is sweet oranges and honey with little complexity other than the mild pepper that hits in the late aftertaste.

12 oz bottle from a 12 pack variety pack from EZ Liquors. Pours a rather clear, for a hefeweizen antway, golden yellow with a medium to large sized foamy bright white head. Aroma is actually comlex with lots going on, banana..spice..wheat..buble gum..citrus and tropical fruits. Full soapy body with lots of carbonation that foams up substantially upon sipping. Flavor of fruit, wheat and bubly gum. Very sweet in a sugar free bubble gum sort of way, not necessarily a good way for a beer though.

This beer is actually rather impressive. Right out of the bottle you can tell that this is a pretty decent wheat beer. Pours a very cloudy golden color with a decent head, a little small for a wheat beer, but not too small. The aroma is very strong with clove, coriander, and citrus. Tastes very much the same only a banana character is noticeable as well. The finish is clean and dry. I was pleasantly surprised by this rendition of a German Wheat.

PPWD Show. I asked at the show if this was more of a hefeweizen or a Belgian white and was told to try it out for myself. The gentleman didn’t know. I thought that it tasted closer to a Belgian White but I see here that it is a German style. Not bad flavor but I would rather go with a Hacker Pschorr.

Extremely active bubbles are a plus, but the lack of cloudiness makes me skeptical of the hefeweizen-ness of this beer. Apart from that, it has a sweet banana taste, but it does not seem natural. A little bready, but not too wheaty. As if they focused on the wrong parts of making a good hefe.
