COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed in the centuries old tradition of German beers, our brewers use more wheat and proprietary yeast to give it the unmistakable character of a flavorful, authentic Hefeweizen. The High proportion of wheat gives In Heat its smooth, full-mouth feel and our special yeast gives it its unique fruity and spicy aroma.

Hazy honey color with a nice head. Hey bubblegum aroma in an American wheat, what a nice surprise. Very smooth, clean and refreshing. A nice wheat beer.

Dusty orange with evident yeast. Unappetizing wet rag nose. Acidic faintly orange-with-yeast flavors. Very flat. I'm disappointed, my first bad Flying Dog beer. Maybe a bad bottle?

I had this beer last summer and was really impressed. Nice citrus smell, nice orange color, nice lemon/bannanna taste. I give it an extra point on appearance for the lable, ha!

Good summer beer, had it with a small slice of lemon and the beer itself has a lemon zest to it. Not an everyday beer but good in the summer

Had one the other night after a Paulaner Hefeweizen. Not as good as the Paulaner, of course. However, not a bad beer. Good summer drink. It has a fizzy, tangy lemon flavor. I'd buy this one again. The label is a hoot.

aroma-tinnyish, body-flattish, color-yellowish, flavor-boringish.

Head is initially small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is hazy dark yellow, dense tiny particles, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with notes of banana and clove. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Medium body, watery (almost syrupy) texture, lively carbonation. Good body with a nice enough estery and cobwebby nose, but it’s too syrupy sweet (not enough tartness).

Typical thin wheat flavor with a wicked smell.

loses a point for the fairly boorish attempt to make us snort and guffaw at the oooooh-so-witty name. pours a golden ochre cloudy with dissolved yeast-- no clumps. head was a quick fizz like spit on a griddle. then, in terms of appearance: the desolation of dead-flatness above a lemony cold medicine. aroma offers some redemption, spicy like sandalwood, oak and apple, and raw paper pulp. the invisible carbonation came alive on the fore-tongue followed by a total lack of sweetness (reminescent of a certain mean second grade teacher i once had), and tart lemon-yeast-milk, notes of resinous apple tree bark. lemon dominates across the finish with a ghost of cracker malt. it does boast a fair thirst quenching ability.

ok..the only reason i even give this beer a decent rating is the slight cinnamion taste on the backend of it.
