Commercial Description:
Brewed in the centuries old tradition of German beers, our brewers use more wheat and proprietary yeast to give it the unmistakable character of a flavorful, authentic Hefeweizen. The High proportion of wheat gives In Heat its smooth, full-mouth feel and our special yeast gives it its unique fruity and spicy aroma.

Bottle. The color is urine-sample yellow with the head to match. Very hazy, but thats ok for a hefeweizen. Smells malty with some banana/fruit smells. Tastes alot like bananas and some seasoning. Malt sweetness comes through after the initial hit of banana. Too much banana and not enough spice. Also some bitter in the aftertaste that shouldn’t be in a hefeweizen. Pretty smooth. Not one of the better hefeweizens I’ve tried.

Very enjoyable beer. Nice banana/clove/corriander/orange and lemon peel mix to it. I found this to be very enjoyable, if a little boring, but I rate my beers on initial impression and not how "grand" they are. And I really liked this one.

[Sampled with the trio: Svoger, Svogergylp and Adenila Foged at EBF, 2008.] Although it is long time I’ve tasted this I remember some milddosed wheat in a light body. Good for a festival!

A- Pours a very cloudy light orange hue, head is small, white, creamy and mostly diminishing, fair lacing on the glass S- Very sweet aroma characterized by bananas, wheat, and the slightest of citrus/lemon fumes, overall a bit underwhelming T- The taste is fairly light and initial tones of sweet, almost syrupy banana and pine hops dominate, transitions to some yeasty and wheat malts and finishes with a sweet pineapple tinge that quickly dissipates M- Light/medium-bodied wheat ale, light and watery texture, unassuming finish D- Very smooth and easy drinking wheat ale that has a bit more sweetness than others in this genre (I kept thinking "Pina Colada"), nothing really stands out with this ale and not being a huge fan of this style, I probably won’t pick it up again in the future.

Pours a dirty dishwater brownish murky gold color with a poorly developed head. Aroma of apple, banana and something akin to apricots. Flavour of banana, yeast, and a bit of lemon and malt. Decent, run of the mill type hefe.

Yellow-orange pout with a white head. Aroma of wheat, yeast, and citrus. A little disappointing, not as drinkable as I had hoped. Smooth medium body.

Pours a cloudy copper with no head. Smell is subdued, but not abnormal for a hefe. Flavor balanced, smooth, and perhaps a bit watery. Slightly salty and finishes with flavors of orange and clove. There’s nothing wrong with it, but In heat wheat is not exceptional.

12 oz.bottle. Pours a thinnish head of poor duration over a cloudy honey yellow body with plentiful yeast residue ......nose of bread, with multiple spices such as clove as well as citrus dominating....tastes of wheat, spice, lemon, with a tart finish....mouthfeel is medium, with light carbonation. This is a good example of the style.
