Good for a festival! BrotherGrendel (580), San Diego, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 9, 2009 A- Pours a very cloudy light orange hue, head is small, white, creamy and mostly diminishing, fair lacing on the glass
S- Very sweet aroma characterized by bananas, wheat, and the slightest of citrus/lemon fumes, overall a bit underwhelming
T- The taste is fairly light and initial tones of sweet, almost syrupy banana and pine hops dominate, transitions to some yeasty and wheat malts and finishes with a sweet pineapple tinge that quickly dissipates
M- Light/medium-bodied wheat ale, light and watery texture, unassuming finish
D- Very smooth and easy drinking wheat ale that has a bit more sweetness than others in this genre (I kept thinking "Pina Colada"), nothing really stands out with this ale and not being a huge fan of this style, I probably won’t pick it up again in the future. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 8, 2009 Pours a dirty dishwater brownish murky gold color with a poorly developed head. Aroma of apple, banana and something akin to apricots. Flavour of banana, yeast, and a bit of lemon and malt. Decent, run of the mill type hefe. Block (365), West Lafayette, Indiana, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 6, 2009 Yellow-orange pout with a white head. Aroma of wheat, yeast, and citrus. A little disappointing, not as drinkable as I had hoped. Smooth medium body. whiterabbit81 (244), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 2, 2009 Pours a cloudy copper with no head. Smell is subdued, but not abnormal for a hefe. Flavor balanced, smooth, and perhaps a bit watery. Slightly salty and finishes with flavors of orange and clove. There’s nothing wrong with it, but In heat wheat is not exceptional. drjay44 (772), Salida, Colorado, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 1, 2009 12 oz.bottle. Pours a thinnish head of poor duration over a cloudy honey yellow body with plentiful yeast residue ......nose of bread, with multiple spices such as clove as well as citrus dominating....tastes of wheat, spice, lemon, with a tart finish....mouthfeel is medium, with light carbonation. This is a good example of the style. brewski519 (403), Morrisville, North Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 29, 2009 Poured a dark, murky yellow with a white head and decent lacing. Smells of lemon and wheat - I din’t pick up as much banana as some have indicated - but a slight scent was there. The taste was of lemon, spice, and was crisp and very drinkable. Not a bad beer at all. ilherps (226), Carbondale, Illinois, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 18, 2009 Lots of fruit flavor, especially banana, and some citrus. Sweet fruitiness more than anything else, with a yeasty finish. Some clove is noticable.
