Commercial Description:
Brewed in the centuries old tradition of German beers, our brewers use more wheat and proprietary yeast to give it the unmistakable character of a flavorful, authentic Hefeweizen. The High proportion of wheat gives In Heat its smooth, full-mouth feel and our special yeast gives it its unique fruity and spicy aroma.

Strong acidic-like aroma of lemons and lemon-cleaner. Medium bodied. Tastes a little sour, with a big abrasive metal flavor up front mixed with the usual lemon and citrus.pretty good

Cloudy yellow with a small white head. Citrus, orange, clove and yeast in a rather weak aroma. Dryish, with bread and yeast flavours. Thin and boring for the style and for a FD brew.

Poured this beer from the bottle. Beer hits the glass a cloudy orange yellow with a quick fading white head. Aroma is leans towards the spicy clove side, with lots of banana esters to the nose. Flavor is a great mixture of wheat, fruityness of banana and lots clove flavor at the end. Flavors are a bit weaker than the aroma would make you think. Overall not a bad beer and the only qualm I have with it is the fact that its a bit watery. If it were just a little heavier I think the flavors whould really shine!

12oz bottle from Total Wine (Tampa, FL). Pours a cloudy dark yellow to golden color with virtually no head. Aroma is bready, yeast, wheaty with notes of banana, sweet malt and spice. Flavor is much of the same with more prominent banana and slight citrus notes. Generally light bodied with a somewhat sweet, spicy finish.

i didn’t know i would fall in love with flying dog this much when i bought the sampler pack tonight for our FRANKENSTEIN book club meeting - but i did, and i have. in-heat wheat glistens like sedimentary river water in a biology class test tube. grab the microscope, kids, there’s all kinds of swirling sifts of citrus and banana and coriander and yeasty hot spots spritzing about the aroma bed of this sample. the flavor confirms the aroma - full on humungous hefe-ness, scratched on the belly by mellow washes of wheat and grain. this is a good beer. a perfect beer to finish out this showing of RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD. nothing screams zombies like a lively citrus wheat!
