It has a light peachy color with a remarkable small head for a hefe. Lots of banana and yenka bubble gum in the aroma. Sweet, wheaty and sugery flavor. Underhook (162), Lincoln Park, New Jersey, USA

Decent aroma, nothing special compared to the Bavarian brews. Taste is much the same, solid but nothing special. That’s the story of this beer -- Solid, but nothing special, especially when compared to Bavarian hefeweizens. WakeandBake (424), Greenville, Michigan, USA

Tastes of yeast and grass, with an oily citrus finish . Sorry this was just not for me. RSRIZZO (1362), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 13, 2008 Aroma is a sweet banana scent with a little spice in the back. Color is a hazy golden with very light carbonation and no head. Taste is sweet and citrusy. Starting with a medium body it goes down smooth. Finish comes in with a sweet banana taste then a little citrus and spiciness. After taste is more citrus and spice with just a hint of bitterness showing. Its not the best but it does have some good flavor. sebletitje (1903), Tampa, Florida, USA

Aroma had notes of grains and yeast.
Taste was light caramely malts, light fruity mouthfeel (sweet as banana/vanilla), light hops but still very smooth. hughie (3048), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 11, 2008 Cloudy orange with sediment. Aroma seemed classically clove and banana, but a lethery yeastiness developed. Taste had some pleasant sweet wheat, or even oats, but the metallic carbonation rather overpowered it. A nod towards the style rather than a faithful copy. It was fair but not memorable. Caleb1035 (63), , North Carolina, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 7, 2008 Pours to orange/gold body that is quite cloudy. Aroma and taste has hints of citrus. Very similar to a wit in many respects. Probably the best Flying Dog I have had. Pleasant suprise. wmubronco1992 (180), Coldwater, Michigan, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 5, 2008 Bottle - Cloudy orange appearance. Big white head. Strong aroma of banana and spices. Based on the appearance and aroma this beer started strong, unfortunately the taste doesn’t hold up. It is very smooth and extrememly drinkable, but the flavor was kind of watery and the yeast overpowered the bananas, orange and spices. I agree with everyone else who’s made the comment about this one not being balanced properly.
