Moderate malt aroma, lots of citrus, banana, cinnamon, and licorice. Heavy sweet up front, light bitter finish. Lively carbonation. Much much better than the Sam Adams Hefe. Tastes a lot like their Kerberos Tripel. blutt59 (2092), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 6, 2008 eh ... nothing special here. Buttery, banana, clove, and corriander dominates. Not too sweet but not as much yeast character as I would hope a hefe to have. What are you gonna do? I probably won’t go for this one again. nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 5, 2008 Poured a hazy gold color with a two finger head. The aroma was very yeasty and had a banana note. The taste had the typical spices and banana flavors. I thought this was a decent representation of the style. Its not the best, but I’ve had much worse. Got this as a part of a mixed Flying Dog 12 pack. dlihcsnatas (50), Texas, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 3, 2008 Looked really good in the glass with that hazy orange color but that was the best it got. The aroma was sweet and the taste was not much different. Not sure what all they put in this one but there is the traditional orange and maybe some lemon but for other herbs... Clover maybe or some other grass, honey shows in the aftertaste, there is probably some coriander, not sure what else is going on in there.
At first I didn’t like it at all but it kind of grew on me as I finished of the first bottle. Guess it just took a little for my tongue to get use to the flavor blast.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 3, 2008 Pours cloudy orange-tinged from the bottle. I’d say the citrus aspect is as much orange as lemon. It’s sweet and not really tart or tangy. (no wheat twang either.) There is some clove spice in there as well. Overall, it’s fairly light, but tasty. Easy to guzzle. sja14 (105), Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 3, 2008 Pours hazy orange with a creamy white head. Orange and bananas dominate the light crisp flavor. A bit off kilter for a hefeweizen but a refreshing beer nonetheless. Berserkir (38), New York, USA
