Commercial Description:
Brewed in the centuries old tradition of German beers, our brewers use more wheat and proprietary yeast to give it the unmistakable character of a flavorful, authentic Hefeweizen. The High proportion of wheat gives In Heat its smooth, full-mouth feel and our special yeast gives it its unique fruity and spicy aroma.

12 oz bottle at home: Deep gold hazy with small but dense creamy eggshell head. Bread yeast, with banana and an oddly creamy character. Clove sprinkled on top. Some orange zest. Spicy. Earthy hop background. Spice is the first thing you notice in your mouth (clove and coriander) but it quickly moves to bread. Almost rye type bread character. Spicy and herbal (hop) bitterness in back Yellow fruits under a layer of mashed bananas. A touch of apple floating around. Finishes a bit watery with yeast and clove. eh

Pours a yellowish amber with minimal head. Aromas of citrus, tart over ripe fruit, and a nice smooth malt character. Flavor is tart fruit with caramel malt and residual doughy yeast- almost spicy. Smooth, full body- not as watery as its appearance would suggest. A great summer cooler.

Poured golden with small head. Aroma - banana and clove. Taste was typical for a hefeweizen. Banana and some spice. Competant, but nothing special here.

bottled, mild malt/wheat aroma on nose with very light hops noted, poured very carbonated clear dark yellow with mild white head, light palate of malt with hints of citrus and bannana, not at all thick/heavy like some hefs, not bad at all, but nothing really stands out

Bottle. Cloudy orangish gold pour with a white head. Sweet and mildly spicy aroma of malt, bananas and cloves. Decent wheat flavor with appropriate spiciness, but this one is a little weak/watery... still a good beer though.

Pours a nice golden orange color with a thin white head. Smell is like bananas that have been left out for too long and you can start to smell them. Taste is malty with tart bananas. Different beer, but probably not one that I would drink again.
