Pale and hazy amber color with heavy sediment floating around and a large, quickly dissapating, white head. Smell is the typical hefe weizen... that spice and fruit blend. Taste isn’t bad... spice, oranges and banana but it is short lived because it seems a bit watered down. Haven’t had a blue moon in a while but it might be about on par with this wheat and cheaper. turbothy (720), Bonn, Germany

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 7, 2009 Wow, another one from Flying Dog that I think is way underrated. Maybe it’s just better fresh. Had this on tap at Flying Dog Brats and Gonzo before the Friday session of GABF 2009. Pours a nice hazy golden-straw color with a creamy white head. Aroma is banana, clove, wheat, and lemon. Flavor is wheat, spicy yeast, lemon and other citrus, banana, and clove. On the sweeter side for the style but good. Medium-bodied, crisp, and refreshing. Very solid hefeweizen overall. donfardz64 (419), Wellington, New Zealand

Nice mouthfilling flavours, silky banana, bubblegum. Nice finish, pretty sweet.
A solid hefe. DarkSong (105), Dacula, Georgia, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Sep 30, 2009 Bottled 355ml. 12 IBUs. It pours a murky orange beer with an extremely small fizzy quick diminishing head. The aroma is mainly of overripe banana; very sweet with caramel showing up. Sweet taste. Rather low carbonation, flat palate. Overripe banana, candy and dried apples appearing. Practically no bitterness. Residual sugars in the finish which is slightly reminiscent of burnt tyre. A bad example of the style. jport4087 (78), Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 27, 2009 Pours a cloudy honey with very little head. Just a bit of white lacing. Aroma is wheat and citrus fruits. Flavor is quite yeasty with undertones of citrus mixed with apple. Body is light with too much carbonation. bluebetty (106), Australia
