First Impression: Average hefeweizen - banana and other fruit influences, hazy color, good aroma, but this has a nice depth to it. Aroma is bananas and wheat. Visuals are a hazy golden orange with absolutely no head. Taste is oranges, banana, yeast, and flowers. Palate is not sharp, but carbonated - very soft. Second Impression - a very good version of the style - not bad by any means, but nowhere near the best hefe.

Overall: 15 out of 20 gonzo46and2 (108), Tampa, Florida, USA May 23, 2008 I disagree with most raters on this beer. I really liked it compared to about a dozen or so hefes. Banana bread nose from the yeast. Very fizzy body. Clean finish. Not too thin not too thick. Sweet finish. No bitterness. Very drinkable hefe. Maverick34 (686), New York, USA May 22, 2008 Draft. Minor head, cloudy gold. Kind of watery and not tons of flavor for a weizen. unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA May 21, 2008 12oz bottle. The pour barely has any haze to it. Clear, golden, no German Hefeweizen cloudiness. Thin white head. Aroma of wheat, and bananas. Flavor has an odd taste of steamed green peas. Not expected and kinda dissapointing. Finishes without any clove. Light bodied. Fruity and vegetable. Blah! joergen (8430), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 19, 2008 Bottle.
Hazy golden coloured with a small white head.
Fruity aroma of spices and bananas with notes of yeast.
Fruity flavour of yeast, bananas and spices.
Fizzy palate. Angeloregon (2024), Portland, Oregon, USA May 18, 2008 From a 12-oz. bottle--Poured a burnished yellow-mustard orange body with a healthy white head. Mildly sweet clovey, banana nose. Somewhat tart, piquant, gnarly flavor. I wanted so much more. Something of this brew was quite off. Huh... ThaBobfather (178), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA May 13, 2008 In-Heat wheat is a very quality Flying Dog brew. I like hefeweizens to begin with and this doesn’t disappoint. Good head with a golden pour. Hildigöltur (5109), København, Denmark May 13, 2008 Bottled. Haze pale golden coloured. Yeast and bananas in the aroma. Sweet, yeasty banana flavour. High carbonation level. Thin and watery.
