3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Clear light gold with very little head. Aroma is wheat and banana. Taste follows pretty closely but there's a strange rubbery aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel and carb. Competent for the style but that aftertaste kind of ruins it.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Appellation Wines. Hazy yellow body with a thick white head that quickly fades. Nice lacing. Aroma of straw, grass and lemon. Flavour of lemon and custard sweets and green banana. Thin body with a watery texture. Lively fizz. A bit bland and thin for a Hefeweizen.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
This taste almost exactly like Odell's Easy Street Wheat. My only complaint is the addition of citrus peel. If you add citrus peel you can no longer call it a hefe, it is now a witbier.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 ounce bottle into weizen glass, best before 7/25/2014. Pours hazy deep gold color with a small foamy off white head with poor retention, that reduces to nothing. No glass lacing, and a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, orange, banana, pear, apple, clove, wheat, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and pale malt sweetness; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, orange, banana, pear, apple, clove, wheat, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light bready tartness and yeast spice on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, banana, pear, apple, clove, wheat, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Nice complexity and solid robustness of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and pale malt sweetness; with a good yeast/malt balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, fairly crisp, and slightly watery/bready mouthfeel that is ok. Alcohol is well hidden with no warming present after the finish as expected of 4.7%. Overall this is a pretty solid hefeweizen. Good balance and solid robustness of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and pale malt sweetness; and very smooth to drink. It was fairly enjoyable.
