Dec 26, 2007 Another wild label from Flying Dog. This is a fairly sour, but still pretty tasty hefeweizen. There is a strong yeast presence and nice carbonation. Not bad for an American hefeweizen, but there are others out there I would take over this one.

Dec 24, 2007 From a bottle. pours a hazy yellow with some sediment still stuck to the bottom of the bottle. Smell of wheat and some lemon. Did not enjoy the taste of this beer. Just somethin about it..I can’t describe it..the taste of this hefeweizen just wasn’t something I liked.

Dec 23, 2007 Appearance is very nice, it even had a good supply of yeast at the bottom of the bottle so that when I poured it it looked cloudy and perfect. A cloudy yellow with a thin little head.
Smell is pretty good, a deep sweet flavor with orange and lemon flavors. So far the best wheat beer outside of Germany that’s not Aventinus.
Taste is sweet vanilla and orange and lemon, very nice.
Mouthfeel is smooth.

Dec 22, 2007 Like many American Wheat Beers, this selection is inferior to its German counterparts. The taste is above average for an American Hefe, with hints of honey and citrus (orange). Appearance is clear, with decent head.

Dec 21, 2007 Bottle: Poured a cloudy gold. Not a fan of wheat ales as they have an odor to them that smells like over ripe beer. Taste is the same and the aftertaste is horrid.

Dec 15, 2007 Slightly dusty wheat aroma with a lemon touch, and arguably yeast. Orange tinged hazy gold color with a rapidly depleting white head. Sort of ringed. Leaves lace tatters. Clove, banana, touch of lemon, and wheat. Pretty spicy. Near medium body and very mild carbonation. The banana sort of gets lost after a few swallows, and the finish is clove and light citrus. But banana tends to come back. Good wheat.

Dec 14, 2007 purchased at puget sound wine cellar in port orchard, washington.
pour is a cloudy, white with a touch of yellow, small head that leaves quickly, tiny bit of lacing.
smell is a lot of lemon, wheat, some banana, yeast.
taste is watery, lemon, tart, wheat, some not quite ripe banana.
overall pretty weak.
