Commercial Description:
Brewed in the centuries old tradition of German beers, our brewers use more wheat and proprietary yeast to give it the unmistakable character of a flavorful, authentic Hefeweizen. The High proportion of wheat gives In Heat its smooth, full-mouth feel and our special yeast gives it its unique fruity and spicy aroma.

Cloudy golden pour with a medium sized white head. Slight bananna/clove aroma. A few esters in the flavor with a light bredy back ground. Crisp and refreshing but lacking flavor. Light mouth feel appropriate for the style

Hazy yellowish color with a thin head. Nice clovey aroma. Flavor is sweet and yeasty with dominant notes of clove and light banana. This one has lively carbonation and is light with a somewhat crisp finish. Very drinkable and I feel it is much better than it’s 2.9 rating.

A light golden color with almost no head and little lacing. Moderately cloudy. Citrus fragrance is light and dominated by lemon, even though i did not put a lemon in it. Not very carbonated. Very little bite. Great flavor though on any day. There was a little bit of sediment at the bottom of the bottle that looked stringy in the glass, which is unusual since the sediment in bottled hefe’s is usually clumpy.

Might be closer to a belgian white? Light golden...ugly looking bubbles, small white head, for a hefe not looking so great. Nice spiced banana aroma and celery. Some yeast, banana, and wheat. Palate is so detached from the beer... hate the big bubbles. None of the refinement that goes into the german hefes that have been around for 500 years. This is an american wheat.

Bottle, courtesy of Papsoe. Hazy, yellowish body with a white head on top. Dryish, dusty, slighlty sour on the nose. Quite fruity and citrusy flavor with a sour touch and a dry, dusty, medium full mouthfeel. A strange wheat beer that is drinkable indeed, but far from a traditional German-style hefe. (071005)

Nice wheat with lots of wheat flavors and smooth mouth feel. Lots of wheat which stayed on the bottom of the glass when poured. Average lighter wheat style aroma with a hazy golden color.

bottle. poured golden with a one finger foam head. The aroma had notes of yeast and muted spices. The flavor was muted as well slightly citrus, wheat with some yeast. The mouth feel was medium to light and although smooth was slightly watery. I agree that this is an average hefe, it lacks the pizzaz of the best in this style.

bottle poured a hazy golden in color with a two finger head on the beer and little carbination. smell is yeast spice, wheat, and something sweet i cant put my finger on. taste is medium on the mouth feel, but quickly gets thin and finishes with a watery wheat taste. the bottle had a good dose of yeast on the bottom that when swirled and poured in clouded it up but still not enough. just not really that interesting or tasty to me.
