Commercial Description:
Brewed in the centuries old tradition of German beers, our brewers use more wheat and proprietary yeast to give it the unmistakable character of a flavorful, authentic Hefeweizen. The High proportion of wheat gives In Heat its smooth, full-mouth feel and our special yeast gives it its unique fruity and spicy aroma.

bottle. poured golden with a one finger foam head. The aroma had notes of yeast and muted spices. The flavor was muted as well slightly citrus, wheat with some yeast. The mouth feel was medium to light and although smooth was slightly watery. I agree that this is an average hefe, it lacks the pizzaz of the best in this style.

bottle poured a hazy golden in color with a two finger head on the beer and little carbination. smell is yeast spice, wheat, and something sweet i cant put my finger on. taste is medium on the mouth feel, but quickly gets thin and finishes with a watery wheat taste. the bottle had a good dose of yeast on the bottom that when swirled and poured in clouded it up but still not enough. just not really that interesting or tasty to me.

Cloudy gold color. Medium body. I liked the sour taste. Part of a variety pack.

Interesting aroma of yeast with notes of raw meat and wheat. Amber body with white head. Flavor is sweet wheat with strong yeast. Watery palate. Kind of funky and not worth trying again.

Pours hazy yellow / orange with a sudsy off-white head. The aroma has banana esters, citrus and lots of creaminess. Medium creamy body with frothy carbonation. The flavor starts with rich wheat that has orange notes and light spice. The finish introduces the banana, but also gets a bit watery. A fair hefe.

Bottle. Poured a clearer than expected pale yellow gold, with a white head. Aroma is rather weak, with the expected banana, clove, and wheat. Flavour follows the aroma, just a standard hefeweisen. Except rather watered-down tasting. And the clove flavour could be toned a bit as it overpowers the weaker banana and wheat flavours. If anything, the finish is rather clean, and is rather quick. Mouthfeel is thin, much thinner than it should be for a hefe. Not an awful beer, just not a very good beer either. It’s only real redeeming quality is that it is easy to drink.

Bottled. Poured cloudy lemonade colored with a white head. Aroma light banana, spice, and wheat. Flavor was the exact same as the aroma.

Lemon yellow color. Not a very weak smell. I am honestly surprised by this. Has a decent ctirus aroma, mainly a lemon citrus aroma that is definitely noticeable. The aroma and appearance are not bad, but they are very ordinary and I don’t see how this is being differient or going above and beyond to make its own name in the hefeweizen spectrum. Again, a very boring citrus flavor that is actually very weak. I did not like how fast the flavor fades away. When I can taste the flavor I taste the same old lemon citrus flavor, and i am not surprised. This beer is a very middle of the road hefe. It is not bad, and I think it deserves a higher score than most have been giving it, but it lacks depth. The beer is also not incredibly thick and smooth. I would say this beer is okay, and where is that yeast flavour I am looking for that all great hefes have. Decent brew.
