Brewed in the centuries old tradition of German beers, our brewers use more wheat and proprietary yeast to give it the unmistakable character of a flavorful, authentic Hefeweizen. The High proportion of wheat gives In Heat its smooth, full-mouth feel and our special yeast gives it its unique fruity and spicy aroma.

Iets troebele oranje bruine kleur. Weinig schuim. Typische weizengeur, maar dan minder. Smaakt erg flauw en dun van smaak.

Clear orange golden, with little head. Light body with barely any flavour. Some wheat in the tasting notes, but thats about all..

Pours a hazy orange-yellow, with no head at all. Aroma is mostly phenolic, dusty and yeasty, but I’m getting some vague hints of cloves and a fruity flavour that seems a bit off at first, but eventually fades to a banana-like aroma. The taste is average on both sweetness and bitterness, but it has an off sour-taste. The mouthfeel is thick, oily and heavy. This beer isn’t particularily good.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a tall pilsener glass. Appearance: The body has an orange yellow hue with a heavy haze. To top it off there is a tall, off white head of light foam. This light foam fades slowly makes some slick lacing on the way down the glass. Smell: In the nose I get mostly bready yeast with a touch of spice and a slightly fruity banana note. Taste/Palate: The flavor picks up on the nose with tasty semi sweet bready wheat and mild spicy clove like yeast. It also has just a light hint of banana as well as some mild spicy hop bitterness. This comes to the palate by way of a smooth medium body with medium carbonation. Notes: Overall it’s a good American made German Hefeweizen.

Pours a simple yellow with white head. Aroma of sweet corn and grains. Tastes of corn, grains, touches of banana, mineral and earthy tones. Palate was sticky and thick. Will not get again. But I am not one for wheat beers anyways.

12 oz bottle into a pint glass. A: Pours a murky yellow color. The head starts off strong, with two fingers of white shading, but fades fairly quick. Only tiny amounts of lacing are left on the glass. S: This is more forward in banana than clove as far as the aroma goes. There’s also an earthy tone I’m not too sure about; it’s almost dusty to me. Pretty inconsistent. T: There’s more going on in the flavor. A touch of banana opens the flavor profile up...the finish, however, I’m not a fan of. Seemingly heavy in both earthiness and general wheat, it strikes me as being ’dirty’ in flavor. Not just dirty as in muddled flavor (which it does feature), but as in drinking actual soil. Meh. M: The body is too heavy here. Combined with the finishing astringency (not dryness), this is rendered...not impossible to drink, but not as chuggable as it could be. O: This was one of the first craft beers I’ve ever had, and I didn’t like it that much. Fast forward 2 years, and I still don’t like it that much. So much for evolving palates, huh? One of Flying Dog’s lesser brews.

On dit que les bières américaines copient en mieux les bières européennes, cette bière est la preuve que ce n’est pas le cas et que ça ne vaut pas les weissen alemande ! Elleest d’une tristesse incroyable. Aucun intérêt !

Bottle. The look is very clear, golden in color, thinner white head. The smell is fruits, yeasty, spice, and wheat. The taste is banana, milder, fruit, and ok.
