COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed in the centuries old tradition of German beers, our brewers use more wheat and proprietary yeast to give it the unmistakable character of a flavorful, authentic Hefeweizen. The High proportion of wheat gives In Heat its smooth, full-mouth feel and our special yeast gives it its unique fruity and spicy aroma.

Bottle: extremely pale yellow color with moderate haze; small, wispy, bone white head vanishes quickly - not good for a hefeweizen. Aroma is very light; biscuit, wheat, lightly fruity esters (banana) & that’s about it. Lackluster. Flavor is the same way... Mild apples, banana-y esters, some wheat, & the lightest hint of clove. Underwhelming in flavor & aroma. Over-carbonated as well, too sharp & not thick/chewy enough for the style. It’s honestly not bad tasting, just extremely vapid & very mediocre for a hefeweizen.

Appearance: Medium cloudy golden color with a white head that leaves a fine lacing.
Aroma: Wheat and banana.
Palate: Medium + body. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Average to rich carbonation.
Taste: Mild balanced wheat, mild fruity and balanced banana.
Overall impression: Nice refreshing and tasty hefe.
Personal stats: Bottle from Matkroken in Halden, Norway

Pours a hazy yellow with two fingers of white head. Lots of yeast and spice on the nose. Flavor is yeasty and bready. Not a bad beer

Extremely disappointing for $10.49 a six pack. Very little taste, watery and no aroma. Would never buy again.

Again, Flying Dog should stick to American beer styles. Let the Germans brew hefeweizen, they’re better at it.

Golde yellow cloudy. Foam that lasts a short time. Banana and apricot in the aroma. Sour fruit wth metalic aftertaste. Almost no hops. Watery. A bit of a disapointment

UPDATED: SEP 2, 2014 Pours a clear golden with a head that rapidly diminishes to nothing. Nose of clove against a light banana background. Light body and well carbonated. Nice clean taste of clove and hints of banana against a lemon zest punch. Crisp finish with a touch of clove and lemon lingering. This would be a great choice after mowing the grass in the heat.

Has that usual smell like most Flying Dogs. Probably the best beer I have had from Flying Dog, which isn’t saying much. I’m not a fair reviewer of the product because most of their stuff tastes the same to me. But give it a shot, why not.

Cloudy ochre colour, wit a tiny head that dissipated pretty fast. Some spices and citrus in the aroma. Light body, slightly bitter, some sourness as well. Prett sharp bitter finish, but doesn’t linger for long.
