Commercial Description:
Brewed in the centuries old tradition of German beers, our brewers use more wheat and proprietary yeast to give it the unmistakable character of a flavorful, authentic Hefeweizen. The High proportion of wheat gives In Heat its smooth, full-mouth feel and our special yeast gives it its unique fruity and spicy aroma.

This is a pretty good beer, smooth, which i like. clean and crisp after taste. The wheat taste was lacking, but it is very easy to drink

Smells of spice and clove. Taste is rather bland, easy to drink. Very average.

Bottle courtesy of Okbeer: Poured a big foamy white head with very little liquid actually showing – seems like there might be an infection going on. Aroma is very weak with maybe some light wheat but I am not picking up any sourness from the infection I had feared. Taste is also quite weird with some light wheat but none of the banana or ester aspects that I usually associate with hefeweizen. I couldn’t really care about that one. This batch as brewed in April of 2007 and drank in May of 2007.

About what I expected. Kind of generic hefe with a bit to much carbonation. This one was kind of plain like a fairly large distributed beer would be. Kind of like Berghoff. Not as good and complex like Bells winter white.

THOUGHTS: Nice smelling and tasting wheat beer. Flavor is a little weak, but I could really see enjoying this on a hot summer day. Went down easy. Lightly sweet wheat and lemon flovor that was a little sour, but not as much as most wheats. Not a great beer, but a nice alternative to flavorless light beers. This might open the mind of a beer novice and get them to try other things. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a hazy, medium yellowwith a small, white head that mostly diminished and left virtually no lacing. The aroma was moderate cobweb-like yeast along with some dust and some spice, which I’m guessing was pepper and lemon and wheat. The initial flavor was lighly sweet and acidic, while the finish was moderately sweet, lightly acidic and a little sour with a short duration. The body was very light and watery, but a little dry as well with soft carbonation.

Poured from bottle. Cloudy wheat, thick white head. Bread, spice, banana and grass in the aroma. Wheat/spice in the flavor, which is nice but it seems light. Very drinkable tho. Kinda reminds me of a watered down belgian wheat beer, more than a hefe. A nice beer.

Bottle pours warm cloudy golden color. Head quickly dissappears. The aroma is slightly smokey with hints of malt and fruit. The flavor is malty with some fruit notes and just a hint of sourness. Finish is light. Does not stand out but by no means bad.
