Commercial Description:
Brewed in the centuries old tradition of German beers, our brewers use more wheat and proprietary yeast to give it the unmistakable character of a flavorful, authentic Hefeweizen. The High proportion of wheat gives In Heat its smooth, full-mouth feel and our special yeast gives it its unique fruity and spicy aroma.

tons of sediment on the bottom, nice wheat flavor, nothing really too special as far as wheat beers go, but it wasn’t bad either.

Cloudy yellow with a small head. Nice flavor, slightly sweet. Overall pretty good wheat beer. Nice and refreshing for a hot day.

nice and cloudy. yellow with enough grit that you can actually see the sediments. head is thin and disipates quickly. has a mellow yeast aroma. sweet wheat flavor. pear or banana (a round sweet taste of some sort) with moderate carbonation and a nice sharp end. this is my favorite of the wheats i’ve tried so far. a complex but well balanced taste. i’ll definitely come back to this one.

Bottle. No head. Clear golden body. Floral hops, bubble gum, and caramel were all noticed in the aroma. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Noticed some sediments at the bottom of the glass (yeast?). This is one of the better Flying Dog Ale I have tried.

Pours a honey gold color. Light head that dissolves quickly. Some floaties present. I must say that I enjoyed this beer tremendously. Light banana flavor..very easy on the gullet. I think I found my favorite session beer. Could pound six in a row with no problem..not that I would ever try it. Have to go out and get a case to keep on hand for friends.

Murky golden color with a decent white head. Aroma is there with slight yeast and breadlike characteristics. Taste is a little flat but medium bodied. Could have a little more depth and all of the flavors are very muted. You get the requisite citrus and spice flavors. Back end bitterness still muted.

A nice hefe. Aroma is decent...wheat and yeast. Nice clear golden pour with little head. Taste was classic hefe...just a little watery.Strong carbonation...wheat and yeast in the front with a bit of citrus aftertaste. Not much banana (only slight) which is what I was expecting. A very good American hefe.

Give me a mass weißbier in the Englischer Garten! No other American beer has come this close to the German equivalent that I have tried. Banana and cloves are present in the air, the taste, and the finish. The only difference is that this beer has beer filtered and doesn’t produce of keep its head like the German.
