fakepurseninja (772), Washington, USA Dec 5, 2006 Updated: Sep 12, 2007Re-visit; 9-12-2007:After sampling Fesitna Peche by Dogfish Head I think this style more closely resembles the Beliner Weisse style of wheat ale. Pretty sour, full body with a semi-strong wheat malt finish. not my style. graham515 (420), Houston, Texas, USA Dec 1, 2006 Updated: Sep 20, 2008Not a bad beer overall, but it lacks the umph that I like in most hefeweizens. It’s very thin with a decent aroma. Lacks in taste with a mintish aftertaste. GreatLibations (1440), Last Supper, Arizona, USA Dec 1, 2006 Pours bright yellow w/ a medium sized, semi creamy froth that recedes to full lacing w/ a dusty blanket. Aromas of banana spice are dominant. Light to medium nectar w/ ample residual effers. Flavors are fruity w/ a mild malt backbone. Banana cream, vanilla, slight clove spice. Finish is bittered mildly. Overall: big on flavor and well balanced brew w/ an appealing creamy wheat character. This brew is underrated. I highly recommended. invalid (302), Columbus, Ohio, USA Nov 30, 2006 Cloudy yellow, nice white head. Smells yeasty and spicy. Tastes creamy and refreshing. This one was better than I expected. BeerHeadBobby (142), In Hiding.., Florida, USA Nov 30, 2006 Bottled- This pours a hazy orange/yellow... aroma is bready with hints of spice and banana... Flavor is banana and and cloves... keep in mind this is an american style of a german wheat... so its not going to have tons of spice.. overall a great attempt by flying dog.. Tessic (439), Brantford, Ontario, Canada Nov 28, 2006 This wheat beer pours a clear golden colour with a big foamy white head. Scents include dough, spice, eggs and malt. First sip was extra carbonated and thin. So carbonated it was hard to grab much flavour other than a little spice. Watery palate with a little tongue bite. cheapdark (2011), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 25, 2006 Updated: Dec 31, 2007Nice label. Lots of things floating around once poured into my steeler stein. It’s a smokey cloudy very light brown yellow. Typical yeasty hefe aroma. Decent flavor, not heavy, but not light either. Very good for a domestic hefe. No offense or linger on the finish. Good effort by flying dog. AR (417), Georgia, USA Nov 22, 2006 Golden-smokey pour. A tasty and smooth-drinking beer. Mid-bodied, but fruity and light-tasting.
