Commercial Description:
Brewed in the centuries old tradition of German beers, our brewers use more wheat and proprietary yeast to give it the unmistakable character of a flavorful, authentic Hefeweizen. The High proportion of wheat gives In Heat its smooth, full-mouth feel and our special yeast gives it its unique fruity and spicy aroma.

(bottle from Weber St Liquor in Colorado Springs). Pours a cloudy, dark yellow. Small white head which diminishes quickly. Wheaty aroma. Wheat and banana flavors. Avg duration. Slightly astringent finish. Slick texture. No lacing. Moderate carbonation.

Like much from flying dog they do a decent job with this. A muted yellow colorand light headed beer. The smell of banana and cloves. A sweet and yeasty falvor. Strong carbination gives it appeal to any Bud drinkers who might try it. A definate buy for any summer event.

This poured a cloudy golden yellow color with a white head. Aroma was pretty bland, but with hints of sweetness, wheat and some banana. Flavor was fairly watery, some slight spices, banana and wheat. Not much going on here.

Pours pale gold orange with a nice white head. Perhaps a touch dark for style. Nose has typical hefe characters with a bit more citrus and sweetness. Palate translates well. Some malt sweetness (munich i assume) as well as some feint citrus hops. Finishes with zesty wheat notes and citrus aswell as some very subtle banana clove. Well made and quite drinkable but very much a new world hefe.

A me piacciono molto le birre pulite e tranquille, ma questi americani non sono tanto capaci a fare una weizen come si deve...
