COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed in the centuries old tradition of German beers, our brewers use more wheat and proprietary yeast to give it the unmistakable character of a flavorful, authentic Hefeweizen. The High proportion of wheat gives In Heat its smooth, full-mouth feel and our special yeast gives it its unique fruity and spicy aroma.

In all fairness, this is the first wheat beer Iíve had - and it may be the last. Poured from a bottle (from aFlying Dog Sampler 12 pack). Poured a very cloudy, golden color. Lots of carbonation but little head. It smelled like rotting hay and tasted worse. Has a very strange taste and a sour aftertaste. I canít describe the way it feels in the mouth but I didnít enjoy it. After a few swallows this was poured into the sink. I hope it doesnít kill the bacteria in my septic tank.

I really enjoyed this hefeweizen. The artwork was great, and the flavor did it for me as well. Very wheaty, unfiltered, but tasted excellent. Not very bitter...but is a hefeweizen supposed to be? I got drunk off of these with some friends and suffered no hangover. It was cool man. Cool.

Man, why make a middle of the road wheat like this? It claims to step up to the plate, íin the tradition of German hefesí, Címon. If your gonna pay for a heffe premium, reach for the Paulaner, the Aventinus, the Schneider, and thats the stuff. It has some citrusy flavors, the usual action, didnít hold a head too long, and letís you toss in the goody at the bottom, but donít hold this up as a shining example of the form, let me down a little.

UPDATED: APR 22, 2003 Liked this even less than the FD pale ale. With the added fruit flavor, the spice taste stands out even more unpleasantly.

Damn this is some good beer. When you can find it on tap, you can drink the hell out of it without puking!

Straw colour with a white head that quickly disappears. Aroma of grasses and banana which I did not find too pleasing. Sweet taste with hints of lemon and a very strong clove finish. Reminded me of a poor imitation of a belgian wheat. Not a favourite.

Head was a little thinner than Iíd like to see; good color; slightly fruity with a hint of spice; good summer choice

UPDATED: JUL 4, 2007 About what I expected. Kind of generic hefe with a bit to much carbonation. This one was kind of plain like a fairly large distributed beer would be. Kind of like Berghoff. Not as good and complex like Bells winter white.

Pours a hazy yellow color with a large white head. Aroma is banana, wheat, and fruits. Taste is very similar. Light bodied and very carbonated.

Bottle @ BeerStore, Thessaloniki: Amber colour with almost no head. Aroma of yeast, citrus and banana. Taste pretty much the same with the banana stronger than other flavors. Medium body, medium carbonation. Overall, a drinkable wheat beer, interesting but not something very special.
