Commercial Description:
Brewed in the centuries old tradition of German beers, our brewers use more wheat and proprietary yeast to give it the unmistakable character of a flavorful, authentic Hefeweizen. The High proportion of wheat gives In Heat its smooth, full-mouth feel and our special yeast gives it its unique fruity and spicy aroma.

Bottled. An aroma which is a bit ’sicky’ and has hints of banana and lemon to this cloudy yellow hefe. The taste is typical hefe with notes of banan, lemon and wheat. Ok by style.

Bottle. Light orange gold with a small head. Aromas are sweet wheat malts with banana and spices. Flavours are sweet spiced oranges with wheat. Spitzy yeast with light citrus and bubblegum. Banana follows with more yeastiness. Not bad.

Cloudy yellow with a small white head. Citrus, orange, clove and yeast in a rather weak aroma. Dryish, with bread and yeast flavours. Thin and boring for the style and for a FD brew.

12 oz. bottle. A good wheat beer. The color is canary/urine yellow (the urine color you get after taking a Centrum vitamin). Not much head. The odor is of citrus, floral, yeast, and spice. The first sip is medium bodied, with hints of lemon, orance, coriander, and slight honey. The finish is smooth, with a tartness. I like Flying Dog beers. This is a middle-of-the-road effort.

Head is initially small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is hazy dark yellow, dense tiny particles, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with notes of banana and clove. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Medium body, watery (almost syrupy) texture, lively carbonation. Good body with a nice enough estery and cobwebby nose, but it’s too syrupy sweet (not enough tartness).

Draught at Cockney Pub US-festival. Creamy white fair mostly deminishing head. Yellow colour. Powerfull hefe aroma. Fat soapy fruity flavor. Ligth swet and bitter. Average finish. Oily palate. Strange powerfull but not balanced hefe.

12 oz bottle. Hazy dark gold with a small-to-medium moderate-duration smooth head...syrupy-sweet banana nose, maple and honey discernible...pretty sweet-sour balance in the front of the flavor profile, sour/dry and somewhat flat finish. Very quaffable but unexciting example of a wonderful style.
