Commercial Description:
Brewed in the centuries old tradition of German beers, our brewers use more wheat and proprietary yeast to give it the unmistakable character of a flavorful, authentic Hefeweizen. The High proportion of wheat gives In Heat its smooth, full-mouth feel and our special yeast gives it its unique fruity and spicy aroma.

Poured a cloudy golden color, with a small head that didn't last too long. Wheat aroma with a watery, slightly fruity taste.

Burnt Beer Night: Yellow color with a medium head. Typical wheat aroma and flavor. A bit more sour than citrus. Not quite as good as even your average summer seasonal hefe.

5.9% is kinda high for a hefe. Pours a very light yellow, slightly cloudy and a head which fades fast. Aroma is traditional hefe yet subduesd slightly. Flavor is sweet with some slight yeasty notes. Very very smooth due to slight undercarbonation.

Shady orange color, whiet head. Phenolic, spicy, banana and yeasty scent. Banana, metallic, sweet malty taste. Spritzy mouthfeel, low bitterness. Had a wiff of cloudberry all of a sudden.

2005 bottle from Julio’s, consumed July 2005. Light banana and walnut notes in the nose with light wheat dryness and some creamy, cooked wheat and light lemon. Overall, pretty low strength of aroma. Cloudy white-tangerine color with a small white head, not too big and not terribly well-retained for the style. Flavor begins with lemons and tangerines. Tastes a lot like a champagne and tangerine juice concoction. Or perhaps just seltzer water and orange juice. . .Very fuzzy, bubbly mouthfeel but very small bubbles, so it’s not annoying on the palate. Getting more lemon and light white dough. Some minerally yeast in there (poured the sediment in this one). Nice stuff, not terribly malty, but refreshing a not overly estery. Kind of reminds me of some old bubblegum that’s already been chewed. More chewy wheat on the end and some bubble trails are left on the glass. Medium-light body, yet not really any thinning.

Pale hazy yellow, tiny head. Sweet banana aroma. Sharp carbonation. Not quite up to german standards, but pretty refreshing, sweet and fruity.
