Feb 14, 2003 I had this beer last summer and was really impressed. Nice citrus smell, nice orange color, nice lemon/bannanna taste. I give it an extra point on appearance for the lable, ha!

Sep 16, 2003 Cloudy, pale yellow colored body with a small, white head. Aroma of wheat and hay, with some citrusy and lemony notes. Light body with spritzy carbonation and a crisp, fizzy mouthfeel. The flavor is lightly wheaty with some yeastiness and a bit of banana and bubblegum flavors. The finish is slightly sweet. Not a bad wheat, more German in character than most American wheat ales.

Aug 13, 2002 Not the best wheat beer I’ve had, but still quite enjoyable. A nice creamy wheat flavor with mild citrus notes. Easy to drink, and one I’d easily come back to.

Oct 13, 2003 Nice banana and clove esters compliment this german hefe. I'm so excited they didn't go for an american wheat. Finishes lightly malty with a slight citrus aftertaste. Not bad!

Mar 26, 2003 The aroma was initially sour, but then sweet like bublegum. The appearance is a cloudy gold with a thin head. The flavor was of bublegum and was very smooth. The beer is silky and very drinkable. Overall a very nice beer.

May 17, 2003 THis one starts out with a medium gold color and a large, but quickly fading, white head. I really like the aroma of this one. Nice mix of wheat, yeast, and some strong citrus coming through...they just seem to mix in a very pleasing way. This one ALMOST smells like a Belgian...or am I just a little off my rocker? The flavor, for the most part, matches the nose. This one really isn't rated too well, and lacks some depth and bite, but I'm surprised how little the other raters seem to care for this beer. Surprisingly good from a brewery with which I usually find myself disappointed! And I've been putting this one off because of its lower ratings...A GOOD REASON NOT TO ALWAYS BELIEVE WHAT OTHERS SAY!

Jun 17, 2005 06.17.05 12oz bottle. Clouded golden pour with ample, lasting white head. Aroma is banana plus coriander and nice grapefruit surprise. Flavor mirrors the aroma. Medium to full body. Yeast is excellent and adds a spice and gunky old fruit flavor that I really like in a hefe. This brew reminds me quite a bit of Franziskaner, which is good, and I’m surprised by the low score.

Mar 22, 2005 Wow! I’m not surprised that this beer is the way it is, by its name. It smacks you in the face with strong carbonation and a strong ABV. Tastes great, with strong lemon and wheat tinges. Check this out, if you have the chance.
