Commercial Description:
Brewed in the centuries old tradition of German beers, our brewers use more wheat and proprietary yeast to give it the unmistakable character of a flavorful, authentic Hefeweizen. The High proportion of wheat gives In Heat its smooth, full-mouth feel and our special yeast gives it its unique fruity and spicy aroma.

Small white head that flattens right out. Hazy gold/white hued color. Yeasty, fruity nose. Light body, sorta thin. Yeasty flavors, light bananna esters., citrusy notes also. Finish is dry, thin.

Had one the other night after a Paulaner Hefeweizen. Not as good as the Paulaner, of course. However, not a bad beer. Good summer drink. It has a fizzy, tangy lemon flavor. I'd buy this one again. The label is a hoot.

Cloudy pale gold with not much head. Aroma of banana and clove. Flavor is very citrusy with some nice spices and clove flavors. Palate is sticky and sweet. Nice quaffer.

(bottle conditioned)Lemony citrus aroma with soft wheat & hint of clove. Orange, hazy body. Smooth wheat dominates the flavor with zesty citrus, phenols, and an odd puckering lactic twang at the end. Medium body has a watery quality. Interesting.

nice deep hazy gold color with a big thick head. full bodied, spicy... reminds me of höegarden which is a belgian white (I think?) It seems like these two styles must be pretty closely related. The spicyness and what some people are calling "banana" aroma is not my favorite thing in the world, but the beer was refreshing. And come to think of it, the spicyness wasn’t as strong as that of the höegarden I had.

Draught at EBF08. Cloudy dark orange colour. Slightly sweet spicy aroma and flavour. Mild and wheaty. Refreshing, but not too interesting.

Very attractive beer in a glass, this wheat has a fine yellow, haziness to it. VERY noticeable spicy clove flavor mixed with citrus and other refreshing fruit flavors that are under toned. You can smell the clove spice as well as the banana from the glass. Not my favorite type of beer but this one is drinkable and refreshing on a hot day.

Appearance: Cloudy pale orange with some of the sediment swirling around in gooey fashion. Big head in my Weizen Glass. Smell: A very clean nose with banana nut lemon and wheat, unclouded and easily identifiable. Nice. Taste & Mouthfeel:: This has a simple Straightforward flavor but one that is extremely quaffable and very refreshing! It so light through the palate it is an easy chugger. If you slow down to realize the flavors there is a nice lemon grass tart along with the yeasty flavor and the banana and nut flavors. Then of course the phenolic bubblegum in this syrupy smooth body is actually rather tasty. The finish is malty and the aftertaste is gentle and crisp. Drinkability: There are certainly bigger Weizens with more flavor but this one is a perfect refreshing flavored water thirst quencher beer for a hot work day. I had one this afternoon after putting up a fence. very refreshing. I left the yeast out once and swirled it in once. try it both ways. This is one to buy in a six pack. Despite the 5.96% ABV you’ll want another one if you only had an individual. Hope this is helpful. Cheers!
