Aroma was mostly banana, with some bubblegum. Tast was good, not great. Not overly tasty, but drinkable. Not very complex, a strong banana taste. Would drink again. bendz1 (86), Ankeny, Iowa, USA

Nice bready aroma with a light clove and hint of fruity ester. Average approx 4 SRM appearance with decent head. Nice wheaty flavor with little input from malt, light clove and very light banana esters. Seems to be a blend of American wheat and German wheat yeast. Nice mouth feel, no flaws. Overall an awesome thirst quencher, but lacks the complexity to score higher. I’m glad I tried this one again! Gregis (1136), Shawnee, Kansas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 11, 2008 Pours a hazy amber with a small white head (comprised of tiny bubbles) that reduces fairly quickly. The nose is classic hefe: lightly dusty and lightly sour wheat with citrus and yeasty banana notes in supporting roles. These notes are not as well balanced or integrated as some hefes, but I still like the aroma. The mouthfeel is light and slick with fairly assertive carbonation and a clean finish. The flavor follows the nose, concluding with an emphasis on a light clove note. While this may not be a top tier hefeweizen, I think its a fairly solid and tasty brew. It’s certainly better than I was expecting given my experience with other Flying Dog session beers and the average score it holds on this site. BuckeyeSammy (456), Cleveland, Ohio, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 3, 2008 Pours cloudy orange-tinged from the bottle. I’d say the citrus aspect is as much orange as lemon. It’s sweet and not really tart or tangy. (no wheat twang either.) There is some clove spice in there as well. Overall, it’s fairly light, but tasty. Easy to guzzle.
